CanuckInUSA 0 #1 July 22, 2004 So who do you think is the most bias partisan political TV news media source? I omitted networks such as TBS, TNT, USA because they don't seem to have a nightly TV news show and it is also possible that I left off some networks which you have that I don't have. And if I have omitted something that you feel belongs on this poll, then by all means talk about it. PS: By the way, CBN is the "Christian Broadcasting Network". Plus I also omitted "Comedy Central's The Daily Show" because I felt that it wasn't really in the same category as the networks mentioned in the poll. beowulf 1 #2 July 22, 2004 How about WGN? They have a nightly news.

He has some good points but is definitely whacked in the sense that he thinks conservatives are always right and liberals are always wrong. CanuckInUSA 0 #6 July 22, 2004 Yes WGN could have should have been on the list. My bad ... Oh and I always thought that FOX had their heads up their asses in terms of their "fair and balanced" crap. But that was before I made the mistake of watching CBN (the one I voted for). Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
Zennie 0 #7 July 22, 2004 QuoteWhile people may be able to listen to Rush, there simply aren't enough blind people in the world to support him on TV. For a while there he actually had a TV show. It was mainly a rehash of the stuff discussed in that day's radio broadcast. - Z "Always be yourself... unless you suck." - Joss Whedon

I agree with you though, Rush is so far right it's not funny. I have little respect for anyone who thinks they are always right and the other side is always wrong. Zennie 0 #10 July 22, 2004 Since righties like to call Michael Moore a "fat idiot" and lefties like to call Rush Limbaugh a "fat idiot", we should have a TV show called the Fat Idiot Hour. MM & RL would argue an issue for an hour, then at the end of every show they would don boxing gloves and slug it out to determine the winner of that hour's debate. I know I'd watch that. - Z "Always be yourself... unless you suck." - Joss Whedon
quade 4 #11 July 22, 2004 Quote Plus I also omitted "Comedy Central's The Daily Show" because I felt that it wasn't really in the same category as the networks mentioned in the poll. Well, it's balanced out by Dennis Miller on CNBC. I personally think Stewart brings the funny more consistantly, but he is slightly left of center and Miller is fairly far right of center. Both pretty much admit to this up front and both will skewer both sides of the aisle. Miller is on record saying that he is giving GWB a free pass though. I think the important thing is that you don't only listen to one source be that hard news of political satire.quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver

skymiles 3 #19 July 22, 2004 “Fair and Balanced”, right. FOX is nothing short of propaganda. There never miss an opportunity to demonize the Democrats and deify the Republicans. They spin EVERY political report. Other TV news organizations that have more balanced reporting are labeled elite left wing media by FOX. Phil
billvon 3,120 #20 July 22, 2004 Interesting internal FOX memo, from FOX news chief John Moody: ----------------- Into Fallujah: It's called Operation Vigilant Resolve and it began Monday morning (NY time) with the US and Iraqi military surrounding Fallujah. We will cover this hour by hour today, explaining repeatedly why it is happening. It won't be long before some people start to decry the use of "excessive force." We won't be among that group. . . More than 600 US military dead, attacks on the UN headquarters last year, assassination of Irai officials who work with the coalition, the deaths of Spanish troops last fall, the outrage in Fallujah: whatever happens, it is richly deserved. ----------------- Nothing like deciding the moral correctness of a military action before it's begun! Now THAT's fair and balanced.

kelpdiver 2 #22 July 22, 2004 The challenge with answering this is the local news stations vary so much. I personally don't watch the national coverage - too early and not as interesting. The local Fox news for San Francisco is as liberal as any other. Definitely no relation to FoxNews the cable station.
TypicalFish 0 #23 July 22, 2004 On the conservative side, I would probably have to say Fox News; if for no other reason than alot of conservative commentators claim it as their own (even Ann Coulter will tell you it is the only non-nut channel with a distinctly conservative slant). As for liberal bias; I think there are far too many to mention. And I am a dem/lib."I gargle no man's balls..." ussfpa on SOCNET
