jumper03 0 #1 July 22, 2004 I've only seen three here in AZ - one for Bush and two for Kerry. The two Kerry spots showed Kerry talking about what the US needs and that he's ready to try and fix it. Not once did he make mention of Bush or his failings. The Bush ad - or more appropriately the anti-Kerry ad - just splashed Kerry's face all over and stated what Kerry had/ had not done. Nothing about what Bush wants to do or has done. I voted Bush last time. I really don't like either of the major party candidates to tell the truth. However, based just on the ads - and the absence of anyone but Bush or Kerry on the ballot - I think at this point Kerry would get my vote. PhillyKev 0 #2 July 22, 2004 Take a look at their websites, too. Kerry's talks about Kerry. Bush's talks about Kerry. Although I doubt it's any kind of moral decision. It's because most polls indicate that Kerry's biggest weakness right now is getting out the message of what he stands for, so that's what he's trying to do. I'm sure if that weren't a problem, he'd be bashing Bush as much as Bush is bashing him. Of course if you're a conservative, it's unamerican to bash the president, but perfectly fine to bash a senator running for president. That is unless the president is Clinton, then you can bash him. kelpdiver 2 #5 July 22, 2004 I might go the entire year without seeing a Kerry or Bush ad, thanks to being in San Francisco and relying on Tivo. I suppose Arizona is solidly on the Bush side, so you may not see too much either. Those poor souls in Florida won't be able to turn around without getting bombarded. I'd expect Kerry's attack ads to come later. Too much material to ignore, and I expect him to be trailing after the GOP convention. Right now he is focused on defining himself as a defense against the GOP goal of defining him as son of Dukakis.

No people have called it unAmerican to have a closed-door hatefest where the current president's name is made fun of. -------------------------------------------------- the depth of his depravity sickens me. -- Jerry Falwell, People v. He stands for both sides of an issue depending on to whom he's speaking at the time. I guess that could be a problem. -------------------------------------------------- the depth of his depravity sickens me. -- Jerry Falwell, People v. billvon 3,119 #8 July 22, 2004 >No people have called it unAmerican to have a closed-door hatefest >where the current president's name is made fun of. Right! But it's downright patriotic to make fun of a US senator's name, or tell one to go fuck himself.

No, he stands for both sides on an issue if you accept the republican smear ads portraying him that way as the truth instead of researching how he's actually voted on issues and what he's actually said.
