Watch out, "girlie men"

Ha Ha Ha...

Very appropriate... It would be nice if all the politicians could use a little self control, and exercise some maturity. Name calling, swearing, and insulting shouldn't be the way our elected representatives conduct themselves... Whether serious or in jest, it's better to not offend or alienate someone or a group of people who may have elected them in the first place. Obviously this is my own opinion.

And attitudes like yours are why people are so god damn uptight about every little fucking comment! Relax, it was funny.

Considering that you don't know me, and have no idea of what my attitude may or may not be like, you're conclusion is without merit. I think that you've confused opinion with attitude.
So I'll turn you're statement around, ok? Stuffit, Attitudes like yours are why people are so god damn uptight about every little fucking comment! Relax, it's only my opinion!

What's interesting about this is how the major left-leaning media is jumping all over this comment as something horrible.

And they're the same ones who almost completely ignored the hate-fest democratic fund-raiser featuring Whoopi Goldberg.

Their double-standard is showing once again.

Actually, I kinda like how he's showing enough anatomy to call out the lawmakers.

The deadline to pass the budget was 3 weeks ago. It hasn't been passed. Schwartzenegger is saying to them, "get the damned thing passed. To do that, you've gotta show some stones to people who may not like it."

I, for one, am am impressed with Schwartzenegger for doing that. I doubt it will work. Come August, the state will run out of money to pays the bills, then there will be a crisis, and they will compromise. At least until the politicians get the idea that deadlines are there for a reason.

Indeed! One could hardly ignore the shrill screams of near-incandescent rage from the right when comedians said bad things about the president. Yet when Cheney tells someone to go fuck themselves, or Arnold calls someone girlie-men - they are revered for speaking their minds.

So which is it? Is it OK for people to say bad things about our elected officials? (Note that this calls for a yes or no answer, not the usual whine about how bad one side or the other is.)

If the State runs out of money, the Dems will just blame Arnold. More political crap from the left.

You're correct, bill, but to a point. Saying bad things about elected officials isacceptable. Sure, Arnie could have said something besides "girlie men." And Cheney could have used different words besides "go fuck yourself."

Both sides need to lighten up. I guess I see this a little differently than the Dem fundraiser, because the stuff that was said at that was beyond any decency. Sexual innuendo on "Bush?" What's that say for intelligent discourse over Bush's policies? "Latins for Republicans - it's like roaches for Raid" said John Leguizamo. I DO take issues with people hinting at genocide...

Calling them girlie-men? Yeah, a bit strong. Saying, "Stand up to unions and trial lawyers." What's wrong with that?

Double standards? Unfortunately, happens all the time.

An insult to women and Homosexuals... Give me a break!
Right away they have to try make a big deal out of a simple insult to them.
Dagblasted liberal dem's, they can cuss and make extreme accusations bordering on libel and IMO treasonous against others but throw something their way and watch'em cry:o.

Didn't you just say "lighten up?" I can't count the number of sexual innuendo jokes about Clinton during his presidency coming from the right. I didn't take them as "intelligent discourse over Clinton's policies" - they were just jokes. Some were even pretty funny the first time around.

If you think that's hinting at genocide . . . do you take offense at the "what do you call 5000 lawyers at the bottom of the sea" joke?

Nope. I don't take offense at those. I laugh at them.

You are right - there is a double standard with the way I view things. I find some things acceptable, and others not acceptable according to my personal tastes. Much like I don't mind people having friends, but I do despise buddy-cliques. It is a double standard.

Trust me, bill, I've been working on reconciling this in my mind for a long time. Yeah, I do have a lot of double standards. I'll admit it.[:/]

Okay, so Im going to get off the subject for just a moment. Today Im working at a construction site and my coworker is telling me that in California, if you insult someone who is gay, he can file criminal charges against you in terms of a "hate crime".

I dont know the truth to this, it seems a little far fetched. Can anyone verify this?

Sorry to get off the subject.
