Nightingale 0 #3 July 14, 2004 did you read the whole article? he had a paragraph in there bashing Edwards too.
Trent 0 #4 July 15, 2004 I especially thought this paragraph was interesting and worthy of some discussion. QuoteMany observers have already noted the contrast between the reaction to Edwards's selection as veep and the 1988 pick of Indiana U.S. Senator Dan Quayle by Republican presidential nominee George H.W. Bush. Quayle had served eight years in the Senate and four in the U.S. House, but he was derided as too inexperienced to be a heartbeat away from the Oval Office. The news media had a field day and produced a massive feeding frenzy that stands to this day as second only to Bill Clinton's scandals among campaign frenzies. Yet Edwards, with half of Quayle's office experience, was greeted with media hosannas and flowers strewn in his path. The negative media coverage for Quayle--according to political science research--likely cost the first President Bush a point or two in the final tally on Election Day 1988. The positive media coverage for Edwards has added several points to Kerry's total so far, at least in some surveys. Curious.Oh, hello again!

Trent 0 #7 July 15, 2004 QuoteNot all that strange.....The news media is very slanted for the Dems. Oh I agree. I just remember hearing a few people saying how the media wasn't REALLY slanted and aguing about it a lot. Here we have a "neutral" site that even feels the bias in the media. The site itself isn't too bad, but it's just so hard to be really neutral, isn't it?Oh, hello again!
chuckbrown 0 #8 July 15, 2004 QuoteThanks for the liberal website. Nice. While I generally don't agree with PK's politics, I have to say that Larry Sabato (the author of the piece) is a pretty middle of the road observer. I wouldn't call him an idealogue by any stretch. Trent 0 #10 July 15, 2004 No, but they sure did/do spend a lot of time on making sure an inordinate amount of tv and newspaper time was spent on each and every mistake.Oh, hello again!

When looking at the top two offices, it seems to me that America has suffered enough with one stupid person. A Bush/Quayle-like ticket just might destroy us, don't you think? Of course you do, you just won't admit it. Michael
