I remember execs always asking stuff like that Edit: Actually, I'd be interested in the demographics by country of the types of people that take IQ tests. I doubt it's a homogenous mix when comparing between countries. But with standard IQ tests on the internet, maybe someday it will approach that. ... I've always thought those kinds of questions were bunk and rather self serving by the interrogator. One thing though, your candidates can use those to show composure - "Of course I don't have that info, as you know, but here's the process in how I'd get to it" You ever have a candidate lose composure on one of those types of distraction questions? no PhD here either, just a simple farm boy with a BS in Aero and MS in Nuclear ... lawrocket 3 #106 July 15, 2004 If I liked popcorn, I'd be eating it now. My point? Let the Democrats continue to insist how dumb GWB is. That idiot beat Gore in the first debate, and lost the second debate. The problem is, after the debates, a large group of the population thought, "Hmmm. Bush isn't as dumb as they said he is. Gore isn't as smart as they said he is." It's nice when other attorneys who don't know me thing I'm just some young kid fresh off the Bar exam. Let them underestimate me. Bush's strategy seems to be the same. My wife is hotter than your wife.

livendive 8 #108 July 15, 2004 Quotethe Democrats are cheap, punk-ass shitwad hypocrites, LOVING to HATE someone as they do. Talk about JUVENILE. Disgusting. Fuckin' coward pussies. This just shows how disgustingly juvenile, immature, irresponsible and hypocritical the democrats have become. This is whiny, petulant HATEFULNESS. They make me sick. ROFL! Blues, Dave P.S. TheAnvil 0 #111 July 15, 2004 No, that's not saying "I support racial discrimination" though I agree with you that affirmative action and racial discrimination are the same thing. Affirmative action is a phrase liberals cower behind because they lack the courage to state what they support. Were the left to come out and state their true feelings on racial discrimination - their undying support of it - they would lose a large voting block they've kept for years by cowering behind the lie that Republicans are racists because they don't support affirmative action.Vinny the Anvil Post Traumatic Didn't Make The Lakers Syndrome is REAL JACKASS POWER!!!!!! kelpdiver 2 #113 July 15, 2004 Quotewith a mean of 100 and sigma of 15, the 80th percentile would be an IQ of about 112 - or statistically average but pushing a significant position to say higher than average. What was his SAT score? I rounded down to the nearest quintile to use 80%. His SAT score was in the 1200s, which would indicate a bit better than the 80%. However, since measures of intelligence are a bit primitive, I thought it was sufficient to say he scored better than 4 in 5 Americans. The example of the Gore - Bush debate is a very suitable one here for showing that metrics can't be used in isolation. While we're being nice to 'dumb' Republicans, Quayle should be kept in mind. He definitely didn't show himself to be a scholar, but he won a lot of election races that he was not supposed to win. Something was behind that highlight reel of a mouth.
