peacefuljeffrey 0 #1 July 9, 2004 Democrats show their disgusting side This story, from the NY Post, demonstrates the the Democrats are cheap, punk-ass shitwad hypocrites, LOVING to HATE someone as they do. Talk about JUVENILE. These are the people you dems are hoping will be our future leaders? Disgusting. edit: Earlier today, Rush Limbaugh was saying that the dems are refusing to release video coverage of what went on at their little hate-in. Fuckin' coward pussies. If it wasn't a spectacle of deplorable name-calling and character assassination full of expletives, vitriol, and derogatory remarks about the President of the United States, why are they too embarrassed to show the country and the world what they were doing and saying? This just shows how disgustingly juvenile, immature, irresponsible and hypocritical the democrats have become. These are not leadership qualities that they are displaying. This is whiny, petulant HATEFULNESS. Aren't they supposed to be the compassionate party? OH, that's right, compassionate only toward those they don't HATE. They make me sick. --Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!"

You've got to open up and express yourself. Keeping it all inside like that isn't good for you. er...uh...er...agghhh....bwwwwaaaaaaahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaaaaaaaa! I expect no less from that Party! Hell - they refer to conservative talk radio as hate radio then go off with events like that. One more reason to laugh at them. peacefuljeffrey 0 #5 July 9, 2004 QuoteDude, Calm down. You come across like the very people you're complaining about. Take a deep breath and relax Blues, Ian I know I get a little hot about some subjects, yeah. But I am not conducting myself in anything like the venue they were. This forum is an informal place; these Democrats were in a venue in which it should be expected that they behave with adult, professional decorum. And we're not talking about some random "idiots" that each side has -- we're talking about the leaders and organizers of the Democrat side! This can't be written off as a few on the fringe -- this is the HEART of what Democrats in party leadership (and their rich Hollywood cohorts) ARE!! How do Kerry and Edwards plan to distance themselves from this hateful vitriol if they didn't say a thing about it while it happened right in front of them? Which Democrat supporters among us DZ.commers plan to come forward now and defend this disgusting spectacle? --Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!" TypicalFish 0 #7 July 9, 2004 Uhhhhhhh, I'm a DEMOCRAT(demokkkrat? demon-crat?), I don't call people names, I respect the leader of my country (even if I don't agree with him), am very open minded to all different points of view (I am firm in my beliefs; therefore, why would I be threatened by someone else's?), and have been told that I am a generous, respectful, and polite guy. I also find boorish behaviour in any context, well, boorish. (And by the way, I hold Whoopi Goldberg and her rhetoric in about as high esteem as I do Michael Moore.) kelpdiver 2 #10 July 10, 2004 when did whoopi become leader of the DNC? You need to lighten up, man. Certainly no more mean spirited than the Rush types, if more colorful in language. Face it, you weren't the target audience for that event.
lawrocket 3 #11 July 10, 2004 July 9, 2004 -- Whoopi Goldberg delivered an X-rated rant full of sexual innuendoes against President Bush last night at a Radio City gala that raised $7.5 million for the newly minted Democratic ticket of John Kerry and John Edwards. Waving a bottle of wine, she fired off a stream of vulgar sexual wordplays on Bush's name in a riff about female genitalia, and boasted that she'd refused to let Team Kerry clear her material. This from a woman callign herself "Whoopi?" "I Xeroxed my behind and I folded it up in an envelope and I sent it back with a big kiss mark on because we're Democrats - we're not afraid to laugh," she said. The poor mail-room clerk got a better view of her than from the front She addressed fresh-faced vice-presidential candidate Edwards as "Kid," and "young Mr. Edwards" and cracked, "He looks like he is about 18 " "I'm going to card his ass tomorrow." Youth of America, rejoice! Your next VP is, in fact, a Gen Xer? Other celebs also competed to bash Bush. Singer John Mellencamp sang a specially written song that called the president "just another cheap thug" and ridiculed him as the "Texas bambino." "We don't smoke marijuana in Muskogee..." Kerry could be seen laughing uproariously during part of Goldberg's tirade - and neither he nor Edwards voiced a single objection to its tone when they spoke to the crowd. Why voice an objection? Hate-filled diatribes are funny, unless they are from Republicans They hailed the fund-raiser as a great event. In terms of dollars, it probably was Edwards said it was "a great honor" to be there and insisted, "This campaign will be a celebration of real American values." In a way, I guess he's right. Hate-filled insults and vitriol are all a part of our kindler, gentler, "I feel your pain" America. Kerry thanked all the performers for "an extraordinary evening," Yeah, good word - "extraordinary" hailed the "great producers" - Harvey Weinstein of Miramax and Jann Wenner Hail the Great Leader! Hail Hail! - and said "every performer tonight ... conveyed to you the heart and soul of our country." "disgustingly juvenile, immature, irresponsible and hypocritical...This is whiny, petulant HATEFULNESS"... Yep - the heart and soul of Democratic vision Last fall, Howard Dean ran into a similar problem when a New York fund-raiser turned into a stream of ugly racist jokes and X-rated Bush-bashing - but Dean instantly came out and said he didn't like the tone of some of the jokes. I guess that's cuz Dean didn't look 18 or get off banging rich chicks Bush campaign spokesman Steve Schmidt noted that Kerry is claiming to share "conservative values" and said, "Sitting there while the vitriol and venom spew forth demonstrates [Kerry's] lack of leadership and how far he is from mainstream America." I'd expect as much from a Republican. Hey, Scmidt, didn't you get Whoopi's letter? Schmidt added, "It's no surprise that a group of Hollywood celebrities would be so excited to support the most out-of-the-mainstream ticket in Democratic Party history." Uh oh. You blew the Hollywood vote. Get it? Blew!?!? Also on the Bush-bashing team was comedian Chevy Chase, who claimed the president is dumb as "an egg-timer" and said Edwards will make Vice President Dick Cheney look "as bright as a bundt cake" when they debate next fall. Chevy said that? Actually, they found some bombs at Radio City Music Hall - all of Chevy Chase's work from the last 10 years Latin comedian John Leguizamo said he refuses to believe there are any Hispanic Republicans, claiming that's "an oxymoron," because "Latins for Republicans - it's like roaches for Raid." Oh. Race Baiting, eh? I thought Republicans viewed people by color. Bastard... Leguizamo added that he made sure to get there early to clear security because "I kind of look Arab - that's why I don't wear underwear anymore, just to make the searches go faster." He was found to be carrying bombs - DVD's of Chevy Chase's "Funny Farm" and reruns of Chevy Chase's talk show Screen legend Paul Newman blasted the Bush tax cuts, saying, "I am a traitor to my class. I think that tax cuts to wealthy thugs like me are borderline criminal - I live very high off the hog." Yeah? How many homeless did YOU let sleep in your properties? And why are you polluting with your race cars? Actress Jessica Lange dismissed Bush as "our so-called president" to the fat-cat crowd and afterward said, "I'll do everything that I can possibly do, short of selling my children," to beat Bush. Notice she limited it to selling her children? Does that mean she'd sell your children, or mine? Hmmm. Anything? Would you move out of the country like Cher or Barbra or Alec did? Oh, wait. They only PROMISED to move... My wife is hotter than your wife.

Guest #16 July 10, 2004 I think what makes this political season worse than all the others is that the libs/Dems are trotting out all the same old tactics, and conservatives/Reps aren't just going to sit there and take it anymore. The Reps are fighting fire with fire. The Dems, used to dishing it out for so long, are actually reacting with disbelief when the same dirty tactics are visited on them. They've always counted on Conservatives / Reps to play nice: If your vicious ridicule and ad-hominem attacks don't get a reaction, turn up the volume and the vitriol until they do. If you opponent gets upset, be sure to point out how immature he's being. Either way, you can't lose, and your opponent can't win. But now the Reps have upped the ante and they aren't playing the game by the old rules - they're a new, meaner generation and they aren't afraid to get dirty. Witness Cheney's "Go f* yourself" remark recently to the Senate Dem who's been riding his ass about Halliburton. Cheney's sick of his shit, and isn't afraid to tell him so. I have a feeling there will be riots outside the political conventions again, but it won't be that shitbag Abbie Hoffman instigating this time. mh ."The mouse does not know life until it is in the mouth of the cat." Right...the GOP never took any cheap shots at Madame Hillary, did they? Or Gore, Dukakis, Carter.... You people are whining. So some comedians took some shots during a FUND RAISER. Did you expect a standup act from Whoppi about how oddly pressed Bush's shirts are? It's a good thing we're not living in the 19th century (or in Nixon's era) when the notion of dirty tricks was worlds apart from what you all seem so upset by. Try getting a little detachment - I bet some of it was pretty funny. If you can't laugh at both Bush and Kerry, there's something wrong with you. Neither is Kennedy or Reagan, or even Bush Senior.
peacefuljeffrey 0 #23 July 10, 2004 Puhlease. Isolated cheap shots are not NEARLY the same as a huge "convention"-type atmosphere of celebrity after celebrity being cheered as they mercilessly and venomously lance into the President of the United States, with a contender for that office in attendance. That makes a huge amount of the difference, by the way: Kerry and Edwards were right there, reportedly laughing uproariously as these hacks shredded the President for everyone's shameful amusement. A big man, a great man, a man who should be president, should not tolerate the dragging of this campaign so far into a cesspool. And yet, mystifyingly, Kerry did tolerate it, and he laughed all the while. He doesn't even have the sense to distance himself from people like Goldberg and the other shrill, caustic Republican-bashers. That's not the kind of judgment I want in a president. It would be like if you walked into your high school principal's office and caught him and a few teachers looking at kids' photos in the yearbook and ranking them out, ridiculing them mercilessly. How highly would you think of your principal then? --Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!"
