PhillyKev 0 #126 July 15, 2004 QuoteQuote QuoteIf a person in a suit is roaming the slums do you stop that person too? They are certainly out of place. Or a white person in the black part of town or an apparently staight couple in a gay neighborhood. Cops routinely question the suit in the ghetto or the white guy in the black part of town. As far as the straight couple in the gay neighborhood, not likely, since straight doesn't look out of place in the gay neighborhood. - Jim I have never heard of a "gay neighborhood". Is it just me or do they actually exist? I live on the border of the "Gayborhood" in Philadelphia. A/K./A the Gay Ghetto.

I go to a gym right smack in the middle of the Gay Village in Montreal. I'll know I'm in shape when I start getting hit on...Remster
PhreeZone 20 #128 July 15, 2004 No... you'll know your in shape when someone starts offering to oil you up I actually enjoy going down to the Short North here in Columbus. They have more art galleries and small shops then anywhere else in town. Its one of the safest spots, cleanest and most friendly villages in Columbus. The shop owners are extremely friendly and they support events like ComFest (huge Community Festival) and other community events. There are also more hair salons per square foot then anywhere else in town Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com

PhreeZone 20 #133 July 15, 2004 [lisp]What ever are you talking about? [/lisp] I should also mention that the Short North is the area between Ohio State University and the new Arena District (Go Blue Jackets!) and downtown. The area is frequented heavily by college students and by business people on lunch. The city of Columbus dumped a lot of money in the area in the late 80's/early 90's since it was starting to get run down then. Now its one of the most liberal districts in Columbus and the republicans are kicking themselves for helping to create it It is funny when ever I'm at campus and we head that way seeing the tansition from student housing to $1500 a month rent loft apartments. When you live and work in the big city you need to be street smart and know the neighborhoods. How do you think I've survived 27 years on the south side of Chicago?
