PhillyKev 0 #1 June 30, 2004 Please note sarcasm in thread title. Report: Guantanamo Prisoners May Move to U.S. QuoteAdministration officials told the newspaper they were unprepared for the ruling. "They really didn't have a specific plan for what to do, case by case, if we lost," a senior Defense Department official was quoted as saying in the report. "The Justice Department didn't have a plan. State didn't have a plan. "It's astounding to me that these cases have been pending for so long and nobody came up with a contingency plan." Wow...a lack of planning or thoughts of contingencies from the administrations. I'm amazed. Note - that's more sarcasm.
Zennie 0 #2 June 30, 2004 QuoteAdministration officials told the newspaper they were unprepared for the ruling. Honestly though... they actually thought the Supreme Court was just going to rubber stamp everything they do? Jesus, no matter how right you may think you are, you have to accept the possibility that a court might actually DISAGREE with you. Makes you wonder if these folks every come out of their own little world. I for one though am happy to see them brought into the formal US justice system. Charge 'em & present your evidence. If they're guilty, lock 'em up, if not let 'em go. - Z "Always be yourself... unless you suck." - Joss Whedon
