Just because they were seeking it does not mean that they weren't working.

Remember - there are still compnies out there that hire people "Under the Table" (allowing the people that are working to draw not one - but two checks)if their profits are going up and they can hire more people "Under the Table" then it would make sense that people would leave jobs to do just that.

It happens more than you can imagine.

So your IRA also took a hit when Clinton was in power?

You are probably forgetting that Nasdaq and the overall bubble was busted when Clintonistas were in power don't you?:P

Nope - it didn't start losing big time until spring 2001, other than normal fluctuations of the market.
