How about the Joe Schmo show? Watch as they believe they are self-important, while they are merely tools playing into the games of others.

Or, "To Tell the Truth" or "Truth or Consequences."

I think "Big Brother" is remarkably good for this.

Or, "Break the Bank" from back in the 50's. Every administration's been good at it. I also think I remember Wink Martindale hosting a show called "Debt."

"Catch Phrase" for the speech writers.
