turtlespeed 226 #1 June 28, 2004 . . . and, I am sure, doing this "early" is politically motivated - SO, lets see the dems say something bad about it - you know they will, and it will contradict what they said before but this should be entertaining. This is what the dems have been harping about for ages now, lets see them disagree with it. You KNOW THEY WILL, this should be funny. wmw999 2,589 #3 June 28, 2004 Taunting? That's not very nice. Frankly, I was going to post what a great idea this was; if nothing else, for security purposes. A safe transition is far better than a dog-and-pony show with the potential for violence disrupting it. Wendy W.There is nothing more dangerous than breaking a basic safety rule and getting away with it. It removes fear of the consequences and builds false confidence. PhillyKev 0 #4 June 28, 2004 It was a good idea to avoid any type of guerilla attack during some pomp and circumstance ceremony. Sorry to disappoint you and your narrow view of other people.
turtlespeed 226 #5 June 28, 2004 As I said before - it is "Probably" politically oriented, however, it was a preemptive strike against the bashing that was likely to ensue because of it. I still think it will be funny. No, Wendy, not taunting, just realistic predictions, Let's face it - if either political party decided that they disagreed with "Jump For The Cause" or it didn't fit their political agenda, they would find ways to show you how bad it is and how much they loathe it, trying to convince you how wrong it is. Entertaining, really. That gives me a thought for another thread. . . .I'm not usually into the whole 3-way thing, but you got me a little excited with that. - Skymama BTR #1 / OTB^5 Official #2 / Hellfish #408 / VSCR #108/Tortuga/Orfun

And then make the face to indicate how crazy they are to have done what they didn't do. Yeah, pretty much sums it up.

SpeedRacer 1 #22 June 29, 2004 well, I opposed the war in Iraq, so I guess that makes me an anti-American, leftist-extremist, commie pinko. But no, I'm glad about the handover. And I think it was a clever idea to do it a couple days early. I don't think some of the righties really understand. I think this war was a major f&*kup, but I'm always hungry for, and grateful of, the occasional bit of good news (like when they caught Saddam, and when they killed Uday & Qusay). It's a weird situation actually: to be distressed about the war and to desperately wish to be proven wrong about what a disaster this has been. Tonto 1 #23 June 29, 2004 "Soveriegn"? You can't even spell the word. I think Sovereign is what you meant. In the words of the new Iraqi Prime minister "We are not sovereign." He went on to explain that until Iraq has it's own military, and has no occupying force within it's borders, they may be autonomous, but not sovereign. tIt's the year of the Pig.
