Truly remarkable that those who bitch and moan most about big government and government intrusion in their lives are the most tolerant of government intrusion in other's lives.

The Bush administration has done more to eliminate personal liberties than any other since WWII, and the self-proclaimed conservatives are in denial.

and we are at war. In case my friend from the far left, one of those who bitch and moan most about Bush, WE NEED TO DEFEND OUR SHORES. I do not have anything to hide. What I have to eat on the flight and where I went and how I paid for the trip. I have no problem with the Gov't doing profiling. If a arab-american has a problem with that....tough!

I must have slept through the Constitutionally required declaration by Congress. Mea Culpa.

Let's hope Ashcroft doesn't mistake you for a terrorist and imprison you indefinitely without charge or access to an attorney.

Fine with me. Give our gov absolute power to do whatever they want. I'm sure they wont abuse that power. And when some gov official oversteps the line dont go bitching about "your" rights.

I hang with a terrorist! Her name is Chris. She's not Muslim, but she can't renew her driver's license due to the Patriot Act, that act that's going to protect us all from the evil terrorists. I used to think she was a pretty cool person (and pretty good skydiver too) but now I realize that some people just don't feel safe with people like her on the streets!

Fear does wonders to push one's head ever deeper into the sand. That way the government is not encumbered by the protests of people who feel their rights slipping away.

no it's people that refuse to do anything to stop the evil terrorists that have their head in the sand.

More details??? Are you soft on terrorism? You want to just let them all go plot their evil plots?

>no it's people that refuse to do anything to stop the evil terrorists that
>have their head in the sand.

Exactly! Which is exactly why evil terrorists like John Kallend and Chris need to be stopped before they cause another 9/11.

>every system has it's faults, but what we are doing is better than pre9-11

There are more terrorist attacks throughout the world. Al Qaeda is gaining strength again. New evil geniuses (al-Zarqawi) are springing up in the place we "liberated." And what are the positives? We're keeping Chris from getting her driver's license. You really think we're doing better?

And I gave up my model rocket summer program for getting inner city kids interested in math and science. That sure helped the national interest.

Didn't the State Department just admit that contrary to their first report, terrorism is UP?
