Gravitymaster 0 #1 June 22, 2004 Transvestites Get Their Own School Bathroom BANGKOK, Thailand -- Transvestites at a Thai vocational school are getting a room of their own -- their own restroom. The Pink Lotus Bathroom is for the exclusive use of the 15 transvestite students at the Chiang Mai Technology School north of Bangkok. A school official says the women didn't want the cross-dressers in their bathroom and the guys would chase them out of the men's room. The transvestites are required to wear male clothing at school but are allowed to sport feminine hairdos. The transvestite bathroom has an intertwined male and female symbol on the door. The restroom features four stalls, but no urinals.

mardigrasbob 0 #3 June 22, 2004 Hell yeah! The dikes can use the urinals, and the sisters will need alot of mirrors. Tampon and rubber concession would double. Only problem: Who would decorate? ----------
bch7773 0 #4 June 22, 2004 only if they didn't convert a normal male or female restroom to the transvestite one. now that would piss me off if some male bathroom near me suddenly turned into one that i couldn't (or wouldn't) go to. but if they build a new bathroom for the transvestites, then sure go ahead. miked10270 0 #5 June 22, 2004 Shouldn't this read their own restrooms? You'd need four in total: one for men, one ofr women, one for men dressed as women, and of course one for women dressed as men (wouldn't want to alienate ANYONE, would we. The good news is that now that women have FINALLY made the genetic and intelligence leap to urinating while standing (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/5226112/) the plumbing for all 4 restrooms can be the same. These additional bathrooms should be made mandatory immediately! Picture the scene: You're in a club or singles bar and chatting nicely to a very attractive member of the (apparently) opposite sex. With the 4 restroom system in operation all you have to do is keep plying your new "friend" (and hopefully sexual partner) with drinks until nature takes it's course and your date goes to the restroom. Simply follow your date discreetly to the restrooms and see which one they use. Thus you can avoid a potentially embarrasing future appearance on The Jerry Springer Show, not to mention other, more immediate shocks when you get your date home. The other advantage is if you're being chatted up by someone you don't fancy. Getting them to escort you to the restrooms and making a judicious false choice should get rid of them. Mike. PhillyKev 0 #6 June 22, 2004 Ironically, most of the bathrooms in clubs and restaurants around here are unisex anyway so this is a non-issue.
billvon 3,116 #7 June 22, 2004 I will never understand why we need more than one kind of bathroom. We had coed bathrooms at our dorm during college; no problems.
kelel01 1 #8 June 22, 2004 What's wrong with this place that they have 15 transvestites as students? I think my high school had MAYBE 1 the whole time I was there, and that was out of about 3,000 people. No, they should not have their own bathrooms. I voted "my brain hurts". Political correctness can lick my ass. Kelly

This is quite a leap forward on the evolutionary scale. I'd liken it to humans starting to walk upright.

Hell, I'm in Oklahoma of all places and there are several restaurants here with unisex bathrooms. Of course, using the urinal for the first time at a great new sushi restaurant was interesting when I didn't know there was such a thing, and a group of women came in. Then the lightbulb went on for the wierd restroom sign that I read (Humans) and I finished up with a smirk. I thought I was just in the right one because there was a urinal. Heh. So, no, doesn't really bother me either way.Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™
peacefuljeffrey 0 #11 June 23, 2004 The women are right to not want people who actually are MALE in their bathroom -- particularly because I have seen it asserted that transvestitism is not tantamount to homosexuality, i.e. you'd be allowing heterosexual males who happen to like to dress like females into the ladies' room. Not cool. But all that said, this is a stupid fuckin' issue and should not even be considered a problem that society needs to deal with. If you're a fuckin' transvestite, you should still be able to put that on fuckin' hold for a moment just to use the goddamned bathroom. And if you're a non-transvestite guy, you should be prosecuted for doing anything harmful to the male in women's clothing who rightfully tries to use the bathroom. The problem occurs when the transvestite is so convincingly attired as a woman that people will think an actual woman has gone into the men's room. Around here we don't put urinals in the unisex bathrooms. That's just silly. For urinals, they have signs taped on two stalls that say "standing room only". LOL. I stayed there for a week when touring the campus, and everyone seemed really respectful in the co-ed restrooms/showers (the showers had secure, latching doors, and a separate drying off/changing space in each stall). The whole thing seemed engineered to work nicely.
 Join the conversation You can post now and register later.
