NicoNYC 0 #8 June 17, 2004 Quotewhy the hell did you post that? that's horrible.I agree it's sick but that person's intentions were to kill someone else. A bazooka like that can erradicate and maul several people from one round. This is what goes on in the real world. While we enjoy Skydiving every weekend, people are getting killed. For me, it's a wake up call. I guess, not everyone can stomach things like that. I couldn't even watch the whole thing either. I just saw the far shot where he got shot. I'll see if I can delete the post or at least edit the first post and put a warning on it. My apologies. How many hits of adrenaline can you take? () but i opened a post in bonfire thinking it would be of light nature. i am one of those people who chooses NOT to watch the graphic details of a war. i don't agree with war. i can't change what is happening, i'm aware of it, and it saddens me. but having me open an attachment and watch a guy die with no warning is sick. i'm honestly pissed about that. thanks again for the bunny, he's cute. NicoNYC 0 #14 June 17, 2004 Quoteno. i would prefer to watch NOBODY die. those who think that death is funny are sick. You're absolutely right. Watching anyone die is sick and not funny. I never intended it to be a funny post. I know that what you don't know won't hurt you but remember, behind our sheltered homes we're safe. Americans in Iraq are dying or getting mutilated almost every day. We never see what really happens in the news when they say Americans die or get injured. Injured usually means missing a limb or two. It's sad I tell you. I'd rather go home missing limbs, sight, hearing, etc. rather than coming home in a box. Well, the point is, that Iraqi risked his own life by picking up that bazooka. He obviously had malicious intentions. If he would have fired off that bazooka, he could have leveled a house, annihilated a hummer or truck full of troops or even a rescue helicopter and what not. One life was sacrificed for probably a dozen other lives. That was God's intentions. How many hits of adrenaline can you take?

Skyrad 0 #19 June 17, 2004 I don't think you have to appologise for posting it but I do think you picked the wrong forum. Speakers corner may have been more appropriate. I don't think it was a bad thing to post. There is a war on, and all to often we just get the sanitized version and the people back home rarely see the horrors. How do I feel watching this? To be truthful not a heck of alot. What do I think about it? Nice shooting by an American, fair hit, fair play. When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. rmsmith 1 #20 June 17, 2004 Sort of takes the fun out being a martyr doesn't it? Actually, I'm surprised by his friends still on their feet walking around sniper alley. Those RPG(s) fetch a tidy sum by either side. Usually it's the kids who forced to fetch them...expendable, and they made good Arab press as "Americans Kill Kids" propaganda clips. Welcom to reality. If our pansy media would stop shielding us from our fragile egos and brodcast a bit more of reality like European media (from what I've seen) instead of blabing on about how big J Lo's ass is this week, who Paris Hilton is fucking now, or what the Olsen Twins are doing for their birthday, we might have a lot less of this sort of conflict in the world. Hiding from it doesn't make it go away.---------------------------------------------- You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.
weegegirl 2 #23 June 17, 2004 i'm educated about what is going on. i know what is going on. i do not agree with what is going on. there is NO reason for me to have to watch video of people dying. i do not watch tv at all. haven't for almost two years now. i read the news online and from newspapers. i live in reality. i just don't want to watch people die. so sue me. freeflybella 0 #24 June 17, 2004 I agree with you Diablopilot. The news is so sanitized. If 'patriotism' and 'dying for your country and freedom' and 'war is necessary' messages are broadcast - so should the reality of what those messages mean. But I also agree with Weegegirl. You don't need to 'see' violence to know it's horrible. Action expresses priority. - Mahatma Ghandi

Hiding from it doesn't make it go away. Yep, and people are going to have to get used to it occuring in America. Right now the terrorists are being kept busy in Iraq and Afghanistan. Thats one of the reasons why there hasn't been another terrorist attack since Sept. 11. That will change in the near future as soon as the appeasers get their way and U.S. Troops come home. There are those who actually believe the terrorist will leave us alone if we just leave them alone.
