Skyrad 0 #2 May 27, 2004 It would be very cleaver on their part if true, but as you can see it's not......... QuoteMr Chalabi has vehemently rejected the allegations as "a lie, a fib and silly". When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. Lucius Annaeus Seneca

Gawain 0 #4 May 27, 2004 Interesting how this "theory" reared its head just the past few days. I don't believe that Iran would've been able to pull this off. There is a lot of dissent within the ranks throughout Iran. A lot of people that are sorely disappointed with the revolution's promise of theocracy. Also, Chalabi was not our only source of information (however incorrect it may yet be found). Unfortunately, this article notes all the ammunition needed to drive this issue to receiving more exposure than it deserves with its final quote: Quote"This is people who opposed the war with long knives drawn for people who supported the war," Ms Mylroie said.So I try and I scream and I beg and I sigh Just to prove I'm alive, and it's alright 'Cause tonight there's a way I'll make light of my treacherous life Make light! PhillyKev 0 #6 May 27, 2004 QuoteInteresting how this "theory" reared its head just the past few days Interesting how this theory was ignored back before the invasion of Iraq. Gen. Zinni, for one, was very outspoken about not being able to trust the ex-pat Iraqis becuase they had their own agenda. Just because there's suddenly overwhelming evidence to support the theory, doesn't mean it's a new one.
