rhino 0 #1 May 19, 2004 I get a lot emails during the week, but every once in a while there is one that is exceptional. Hearing the daily news reports about our soldiers getting killed in Iraq is really disturbing. Whether we agree if they should be there or not, as a country we should still support them to the fullest. It has to be excruciating for them to be away from their homes and children for so long. Someone put together a flash presentation with music from Ricky Skaggs with an overlay of a little girl talking to her Dad who is a soldier. Whew! This is very touching and really puts things into perspective. I encourage you to watch this. http://www.armedforcestribute.com/
Nightingale 0 #2 May 20, 2004 I don't support the war, but I do support our troops. I have several close friends over there, and they get sent a letter from me literally every single day. Sometimes I send little gifts. I think the most appreciated was the boxes of girl scout cookies. LOL. If any of you know a soldier over there, please write to them, tell them that you care and that they aren't forgotten and that their efforts and intent are appreciated, even if you don't agree with the current administration's goals over there. My friends tell me it means the world.
