Anything that is keeping her from joining the Military? I have no idea how many she has. I'm pleased to see that we have come such a long way since Jonathan Swift.... Deuce 1 #127 May 24, 2004 John, I just saw you don't recieve PM's. Too bad, I was curious about some things. I'm dying to meet you. I had breakfast with Quade the other day and we had a great conversation without ever having to invoke Jonathan Swift, Ronald Reagan or Maya Angelou. This whole "my opinion is better than your opinion" thing is grossly overated. It is kind of fun to watch, though.
kelpdiver 2 #128 May 24, 2004 Quote Read up on old Abe Lincon who used a shovel and coal to lean to write , Einstien who when he was 26 and working full time in a pattent office came up with THREE world changing ideas...Most will not ever even come close to ONE, much less THREE in ONE year WHILE WORKING FULL TIME. Edison who worked full time as a telagrapher before he started his own buisness. If you want it bad enough you can do it. Einstein is an odd example to use, Ron. His poor marks in school suggests excessive laziness. And you go forward 75 years and lots of very hard working students of physics cannot fully comprehend his work. Professors too. You think maybe IQ has some place here? I think Edison is a much better example to use - a lot of his inventions came from simple brute force trial and error. When he invented the usable light bulb, he had tried countless materials as filaments until he came upon one that had reasonable life. That said, shouldn't your evidence be more current than a President 140 years ago and an inventor who died 74 years back? It was a rather different US back then - not much competition in the workplace from pesky women or minorities, or remotely educated worker bees. Seriously, I'm not sure who you're referring to. And since Kerry will be losing the election, it isn't a valid answer to the question.
