quade 4 #2 May 14, 2004 Also an interesting read . . . by George Will. http://www.sacbee.com/content/opinion/national/will/story/9255644p-10180764c.html I'm thinking that if the conservatives in this country have lost the confidence of George Will, then we've finally reached the tipping point in this. I also noticed John & Ken from KFI were doing a heck of a lot of back peddling last night. Has anyone else noticed this trend in the last week?quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver

Interesting to listen to KFI in the morning as well. Tipping point....nice choice of words and correct in the visual too. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
Kennedy 0 #4 May 14, 2004 I don't know George Will, but he sounds fed up with foreign policy (imperialism), not conservatives. The policy he is fed up with is not unique to this administration or to conservatives. Just check from three to eleven years ago. Also, something in there reminded me of Pat Buchanan. I suppose it's just that they have similar disdain for similar policies. lawrocket 3 #6 May 14, 2004 Yeah. George Will is furious about this stuff in Iraq, and argues for stern punishment for everyone right up the chain of command. I like his quote: "When there is no penalty for failure, failures proliferate." My wife is hotter than your wife.
PhillyKev 0 #7 May 14, 2004 QuoteDemocrats may be slightly embarrassed by the fact that, when challenged, Kerry could name only two Democrats he'd appoint as secretary of defense (Sen. Carl Levin and former Clinton Defense Secretary William Perry), whereas two Republicans also made his list: Sens. John McCain and John Warner. Wow, so you mean he would try to choose the best person for the job instead of being partisan and nepotistic? How horrible. QuoteBut where is the evidence for a "major failure of command"? Addressed by Quade's link.
Kennedy 0 #8 May 14, 2004 While I am in fact fairly conservative, don't lump me in with the people you throw that term at like an insult. My personal politics are one thing, but I tend very heavily towards Libertarian politically and Capitalist economically. I still have yet to see a place where the government does something better than private industry. (the three common exceptions to that being environment, law enforcement, and national defense, but those are inherently governmental functions)witty subliminal message Guard your honor, let your reputation fall where it will, and outlast the bastards. 1*

(the three common exceptions to that being environment, law enforcement, and national defense, but those are inherently governmental functions) George Will has been a widely syndicated, intellectually honest, conservative columnist for decades. I am really surprised that you haven't heard of him. And he is 100% correct in his analysis of this situation.... The only sure way to survive a canopy collision is not to have one.
