It was maybe my paper route delivering "The Whale" (called so because of its size) that first got me interested in news.

BTW, the L.A. Times won more Pulitzers last year than any other paper -- 5.

The LA Times under its new ownership and management is just as guilty of the practices he decries wrt FoxNews. The Pulitzer count last year is a bit sad - I know place them in the category of Grammy or Emmy.

It's sad - it was once a great newspaper (esp compared to the Bay Area offerings) and unlike the NYT actually covered sports well. Now it's no different from the Orange Co Register, or any of the others bordering on tabloid status.
