Deleted 0 #1 March 19, 2001 So I have baby duty today...Sunday and I could not jump on Saturday due to family in town.It has been almost 2 monts since I have jumped from altitude... I decide to take the 6 month old out to the DZ to see some parachutes land. Also I have not been in weeks due to crappy weather in CA over the last month or so...I drop off my rig to get a needed reserve repack and I get at least 5 offers to babysit while I go get some fresh air!! I rent a rig, borrow a helmet and alti and do 1 solo while Bella sits in an airconditioned trailer with some of the staff. I must honestly say that Elsinore is truely "The friendliest DZ" in the country..I can't tell anyone enough the number of reasons to visit there over Perris if you come to CA...Just my $.02Blue Skies... I would have went to sit in the sun and watch, but was afraid that I might getting somebody sick. Sucks, too because I just got my new canopy. Got to jump it once on Friday, but only hop-n-pop'd from 3k. Saturday called for more jumps, 5 of them: an 8 way, 11 way with 2 videos, 2- 6 ways and a 5 way in which I was the beneficiary of a free fall kiss. Elsinore is home. The DZOs, staff, LOs and fellow jumpers are my extended family. Ever feel *home* sick while you're at work?? SharkPS> Next time yer there, get on Derek or Pat's LO groups for some real fun... Later.T1,Yup, got my Spectre in the mail Thursday, put 1 Hop-n-Pop on Friday from 3k (ceiling too low and the bier is gone.) It's so new that it "crinkles" like a plastic bag. And when you pack it, it really slides around like suntan lotion. The only bummer is that they forgot to put the center crew lines in. No big, though.
