Pammi 0 #1 March 27, 2001 She mentioned once that actually getting jumps doesn't seem to help...it just makes you want more! I got 5 jumps, the most I have gotten in one weekend before (shut up you guys in the big dz's who always get that many..lol!) and I am going crazier then normal trying to wait until this weekend! To top it off, I spent last weekend down in the same town where the DZ is and purposely didn't take my rig because I knew it would be too much temptation for me to have it there and not jump, like we'd promised we wouldn't for one weekend. To top it off, I'm finally on my own rig and only have one more thing to do then I'll 'officially' be off student status (I also took so long to get there that I'm not far from being able to get my A license now..lol!). ARGH!! The longest week in history!! Sorry, just had to whine a bit. If you look at 'who's online' at any time, you'll probably find me here...I've been living here lately trying to get through til the weekend! My job takes absolutely no thought, so I do a 100 things at once to keep entertained and hopefully make the week go faster :) At least it's not going to be another 5 months like I did before...that was so stupid. Grogs 0 #4 March 27, 2001 Don't worry Pammi. If you haven't already, you'll be able to jump fast enough to have another problem... money. My record so far is 8 jumps in one day (early January!), so even assuming I can only do that many a day in the summer, 8 jumps a day is 16 jumps a week and 64 jumps in a weekend, which is well over half my take home pay. I pack my butt off, the more free jumps the better. This weekend I get to work at an Outdoor Sportsman Show dressed in a bikini top and a grass skirt using the sales pitch "If you want to get lei'd check out the Skydive Ranch booth" and they will hand out Hawaiian leis. I keep telling myself that 15 free jumps is worth it ($375). And Pammi, it is sooooooo true, the more you jump, the more you want it. Pammi 0 #7 March 27, 2001 LMAO! That's hilarious Tee! I haven't figured out if I'm desparate enough yet to pack for jumps...those student rigs are a bi*** to pack! I barely feel comfortable packing my own, it'd be frightening to let someone else jump one of mine! Besides...I worry that if I started packing that I'd end up working my a** off and not getting to jump like always seems to happen to the poor pack monkey we got now (self-named..lol!). I might be willing to do just about anything by the time summer gets here tho!
