Iflyme 0 #1 April 6, 2001 Well, today I am proud of some of the senior jumpers at my DZ. Last spring (or was it early summer?) 3 of them did an unusual demo jump. A local movie theatre was opening "Mission Impossible 2", and was looking for a "hot" premiere. Our boys landed on the roof of the theatre as pyro-tecnics fired off, and some rapellers climbed down the side of the building. There was quite a crowd of people outside, as there was some radio promotion... I was on the roof, shooting video (for our newscast). Well as it turns out, the theater received some theatre-type award from Paramount for having the "best movie premiere" in North America. It was wayyyy cool being on the roof as the guys came roaring in, and even better to put skydiving on the news in a positive manner. Some of you other Canadians may recognize the name Rod Mack - Al O and Gary B (the DZO) were the other jumpers... way to go guys! You made us all look good!!!
