Had about the same things as you did John. And we had free breakfast which was killer, eggs pancakes and sausage. Even though I wasnt jumping today it was a perfect spring day in cali
 monkycndo 0 #10 March 11, 2007 Safety Day at Hollister was a complete success. Started with with a pancake, sausage and egg breakfast, provided by yours truely. Haven't seen that many skydivers out at the DZ that early in a long time. Even the Italians were there. Thanks go out to Nate, Diego, Peter and Dan for their presentations. As well as Brad our rigger for making a rig about as unsafe as possible for the "Gear Check from Hell". The sad part was that all the things wrong had been seen before on someone's rig. We had 13 loads in gorgeous weather. Our DZO had discounted jumps for students needing coaching. We had jumpers showing up that hadn't been to the DZ in years. The day was followed by quite a BBQ feed provided by K-Bob and Patti with Kritter doing the grilling. Ended the event with a raffle of items donated by our wonderful sponsors of Aerodyne, BoneHead helmets and Gravity Gear. A lot of valuable information was shared and thanks to all who attended for making Safety Day in H-Town such a rousing success.50 donations so far. Give it a try.
