skymama 37 #1 April 10, 2001 I'm trying to decide between getting my belly button pierced or a small tattoo somewhere on my body. Help me out, you manly men. Which one is sexier? And, if your answer is a tattoo, where should I put it?
SkySlut 0 #2 April 10, 2001 If you cant or dont want to get em both...go with the belly button piercing. I love em!"I'll jump anything!"
skreamer 1 #3 April 10, 2001 It really depends on your belly, if you are happy drawing attention to it, then do the belly ring. If it is a tattoo, just don't get something common like a rose and don't put it on a shoulder blade or at the side of your cleavage - put it somewhere really sexy. Then post a pic!!! My personal favourite tattoo on a woman is a small celtic type *wing* design at the bottom of their back right above their bikini line./s[drop till you party!]
Pammi 0 #4 April 10, 2001 I actually broke both of Skreamer's tattoo rules..LOL! I have three tats and another I really really want, but am not ready to spend the money for, that will go on my lower back. I also had a navel ring and just a word of warning..it takes FOREVER to heal. To some people, it's fairly easy I guess, but for me and a few friends of mine they took a lot of work getting them healed. You have to take very good care of them, keep all waistbands away from it, soak it with sea salt, blah blah...I got the first one healed in the normal 9 months or so, but then my body rejected it and it came out. So I got it redone because I really really wanted one and it stayed infected so I finally took it out. *sigh* I considered trying one more time when I went down and got my tongue pierced last Friday, but decided I don't have the time to take care of it so prob'ly won't try again.Definately not trying to tell you not to get one...they are incredible and there is some awesome jewelry for piercings here. Just wanted to warn you that it can be a pain, but if you have the time and want to do it, go for it!Pammi
skymama 37 #5 April 10, 2001 I've been working out with the abslide (do they have those in England?), so my stomach is getting in shape. I have a 4-pack going, working on a 6-pack.Your tattoo idea sounds pretty good-thanks!Here's another question-how painful is a tattoo going to be? skymama 37 #6 April 10, 2001 Oh My Gosh, Pammi-9 months!! I never imagined that it would take so long to heal! I have to wear hose at work. I bet they wouldn't work very well together. How's your tongue doing?
BenW 0 #7 April 10, 2001 Tasteful Tats are great, and I LOVE belly button rings too! Go for it skymama!!I'm about the only bloke I know with mine done - which is great!B.Edited by BenW on 4/10/01 06:25 AM.
Stacy 0 #8 April 10, 2001 tattoos hurt more if there is more bone underneath of them. for example your foot would hurt more than the stomach. I laughed through mine actually, just take a friend to talk to and it won't be bad at all. It's kinda addictive. =c)Stacyhttp://astro.temple.edu/~sweeks
Pammi 0 #9 April 10, 2001 Yeah...they take a while....ask an experienced piercer for sure, but it's one of the longer healing piercings. They have some info on that link above in the faqs about healing times, care and so forth that you can look at. I think belly rings are incredibly sexy and most men say so also...but I'm just not very patient :) I also wear hose to work a lot which irritates, but you can roll them down or cut a piece out of the top to accomadate too My tongue ring is doing very well actually. Eatting has been an experience! LOL! It's healing very nicely tho and swelling is really starting to go down. :)Pammi
Grogs 0 #10 April 10, 2001 QuoteI have a 4-pack going, working on a 6-pack.Haha. I know that feeling. I was doing about 400 crunches a day last Summer plus some leg lifts and such, and lost 30 pounds, all the way down to where I was just plain skinny (6', 150lbs) and I just never could get rid of that last little bit of 'padding' so you could see the bottom 2. Oh well, 4 is still better than nothing.
PLFXpert 0 #11 April 10, 2001 Geese, Pammi, 9 monthsAs far as pain is concerned, it's hard to say b/c everyone is different. I have a high pain tolerance and literally, was not in any discomfort at all during both. But my best friend had tears rolling down her face. I was just trying not to laugh and mess him up on me. As far as what is sexier? I think both are. I LOVE my tats and so does my b/f. Hope that helps a littleMuch love and blue skies,Carrie http://www.geocities.com/skydivegrl20/
skreamer 1 #12 April 10, 2001 QuoteI've been working out with the abslide (do they have those in England?)Uhhh, no, the only 6-pack the women here are interested in getting is of the alcoholic variety. And of course they all have great tans to match their toned bodies.../s[drop till you party!]

Pammi 0 #16 April 10, 2001 Oh no Carrie...I was referring to my navel ring...my tats healed very easily too. They are much less of a pain in the a$$ then piercings in my opinion :)Pammi
Merrick 0 #17 April 10, 2001 Belly button rings are WAAAY sexy..... but like Pam said, they take a really long time to heal, and if they don't heal right they can leave a pretty nasty scar. Tattoos are very sexy too, as long as they're tastefully done. My best advice there is to think of an idea & get some custom work done.... something that will actually mean something to you rather than just picking something off a wall (which is OK - hell, that's what I did.... 4 times). Pam has a beautiful tat on her shoulder blade, & a few others that I really like too. Just make sure you go to a professional & get whatever suits you..... but be careful.... they are very addictive, I originally just wanted one, now I have 4 & I want to get a scene on about half my back! Most importantly, have fun with it! "Peace & Blue Skies!"Merrick
Iflyme 0 #18 April 10, 2001 skymama, if you go for a tattoo, make sure the place that does it takes your health seriously. A visit to a tattoo parlour is the LEADING cause of Hepatits C infection in the USA.
Greg 0 #19 April 10, 2001 If you could do both, do it!! They are both sexy. I have 2 tats, a southwestern styled gecko on the outside of my right calf and an oriental styled dragon on the inside of the same calf. They hurt a bit kind of like someone slowly dragging a lit cigarette across your skin, but the pain goes away quick. They were pretty pricy too, spent $65.00 for one and $70.00 for the seccond. I got them before I discovered skydiving, now I only think about how many JT were lost paying for them, oh well!!Blue ones!!

fruce 0 #21 April 10, 2001 Skymama, the fact that you have taken the time and effort to get your stomach in such great shape, is a huge turn on. Men are totally into women who take care of themselves physically…. More so than any adornment could ever do. I’m not trying to change your mind about a piercing or tattoo, just think about what you are really trying to say…….. oh!, too deep, sorry…….. ok then, pierce the 6 pack! Another “interesting “ thought…….. frucehttp://www.fruce.com
Cacophony 0 #22 April 10, 2001 I am gonna disagree with you all. I feel that the sexiest thing would be to not have any. That just shows that you are proud of your body the way it is and that you don't have to fancy it up with any jewelry or art. Looking at my girl is much better the way she is than if she had a picture in the way. Plus, a belly button ring would hurt my tongue after a while, hehe. Same thing with a tongue ring.Safe landings,Alex D-23912
skreamer 1 #23 April 10, 2001 Alex, have you ever gone out with a girl with a pierced tongue??? It's bad for them, because it chips their teeth (ask any dentist about pierced tongues), but it does hold certain aaahhh *advantages* for you the receiving party.../s[drop till you party!]
Whiskeychick 0 #24 April 10, 2001 Pammi, what happened after the nine months that your body rejected the piercing? Did you stop soaking it, or did it just get too irritated? I got mine done last month, and and would appreciate any info on how to prevent a possible rejection. As of now, Im just soaking it in sea salts.-WC
