Deleted 0 #1 April 14, 2001 OK folks, here is a little background. I was sitting in my religion class at college this past Tuesday and realized that I couldn't get my mind off of skydiving. I pulled out my notebook and just started writing this. Remember, I am my no-means a poet/writer/creative writer/etc. It is just something that I thought would take away the burn of not being able to do AFF until 2002. Tell me what you think:----------------------------Passing The TestAs I step into my rig,I double-check all my gear.I load into the CASAAnd hear engines in my ear. Some people are sitting,Some strapped to the floor. The last person gets on,And they shut the jumpdoor. The CASA roars-upand flies to the sky.Everyone on this loadis ready to fly.Everyone is waitingFor the same thing to happen. The plane leveling out,And a signal from captain. We tighten our helmetsAnd check-out our rigs.We head to the jumprampLike a herd full of pigs.He lowers the doorAnd the first group gets on.They see the green-lightAnd then they are gone.Everyone jumps outin our own special way. Some groups, some single,For some, their first day.Everyone freefallsAnd pulls the ripcord. When the canopy fills-upWe all thank the Lord.We float back to EarthWhile under our main.We land on our feetAnd avoid hitting a plane. We pick-up our rigs. We've passed another test. When we're all done repacking,We head back to manifest.-Brandon WrenUse this all you want, but please don't change it and keep my name with it!Blue skies...
