Shark 0 #1 April 14, 2001 So the Shark rolls outta the rack around noonish after playing with the kids at Otay... and yes, the Merlot contributed to the coma. The first jump wasn't till 2ish which consisted of 6 way. The next two were an 8 way & 13 way speed star. Blew off the sunset load after I was cajoled into the night skydives which I learned about only hours before. Full moon? What moon? Don't need it. Yes, it was my first, and the first for 8 others from the UK. We got our 30 minute call around 830 and were airborne around 9. Our firsts, the me and 8 Brits, were solos from 7 grand. Dove out head first, and it was the longest, coolest, 25 seconds of freefall! I landed 5 yards from the peas. In fact, that was my most accurate jump in a week! The second jump was from 13. (ya know, Friday the 13th?!) Me and RJ launched a 3 way rw dive with our British hottie, Erica. It sucked as the outside rear float, but we launched a not exit, geeked for a bit, then spun right, then left, then right again before break off at 5 grand. It's hot, just sitting in the canopy checking everything out...just hangin out with the brakes stowed. Made my approach and buzzed the cars the illuminated the landing area and did a nice swoop in to a soft landing. (No, I didn't hook it in, and yes I used the front risers.) Everyone's gotta do this... wingnut 0 #2 April 14, 2001 shark,glad to hear ya had a great time. i alsmost got to do a night jump last year. was all geared up when the plane cam back to the airport loaded. first load landed way off due to crazy uppers. oh well maybe later this year.....giving up day skydives? well i guess that might be a good idea but when ya going to drink if your skydiving all night............oh wait i forgot, it's just fine to start drinking at 8am!<> Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

It's really challenging dirt diving in a plane full of Brits. Later that day I made a 34 way sunset skydive. The sun was already down before we exited. You could have called that one a NATO skydive since we had a lot of Euros jumping. It was a trip! The scariest part was the break off and opening.
