Deleted 0 #1 April 26, 2001 Well, after all the bitching I’ve done about the piss poor weather we’ve had in MN, I just wanted to say that FINALLY we’ve had nothing but dry sunny skies for once, and it looks like it’ll stay that way for the foreseeable future. They way I see it is that I’ve been whining about not jumping cause the weather sucks and I’m broke, so at least now I’m half there ) just to hang out, but I didn’t. I realized that there would be no way that I could resist that kind of temptation. I could just imagine me talking to a JM and getting sucked right in. “Tandem?” “Now?” “Okay, why not?!” Oh oh, there went my past due cable bill out the door of the plane. Yeee haaa, that was fun! Let’s do that again, oops, there goes the rent !! But damn, this is fun! Good bye insurance payment, WOOOOHOOOO!! You get the picture. Oh, well, more skydiving videos for me I guess. I’m not bitching, though. In fact, the only reason I’m posting this I cause I was so sick of bitching about the crappy weather that I’m just happy it’s over, at least for a little while. A little positive thinking can go a long way. I hope everybody else, this weekend, has the same blue skies I’m looking at right now.See ya later! - Josh

huffermoose 0 #3 April 26, 2001 stop doing tandems and start your aff or s/l it's a world lot cheaper in the long run i reckon there has got to be more of a buzz jumping on your own (almost) than someone doing all the moves for you.plus once you got the training out of the way how much is a J/T ?????ttfn Allani hoped you enjoyed the tandem
Dirtsucks 0 #4 April 26, 2001 I’ve never done a tandem. I did AFF awhile back but only managed to get to level 3. Did level 4 three times and totally whiffed all of em. Frustrated, broke, end of story. The main problem though was that if you imagine the most perfect, relaxed body position, mine was totally the opposite – I just couldn’t relax. That’s where the tandem comes in. Just to take baby steps getting back in the air, I want to do it right this time.
huffermoose 0 #5 April 26, 2001 good on yer geezer if thats what it takes to chill in the air thats cool, you gotta do what you gotta dottfn Allanp.s didn't mean to sound negative at all
Dirtsucks 0 #6 April 26, 2001 Naw, didn’t think you were being negative. Believe me, I’ve contemplated the financial implications of adding on a tandem, but I think in the long run it just might be worth the extra money. I think I blew almost 500 bucks on those 3 level 4’s just cause of the relaxation thing. Oh, and J/T’s are $19 for a King Air, and I think &15-16 for a Cessna (206 I think). BTW “Good on yer geezer???” Don’t think I’ve heard that before .Josh
