cool exits

Recommended Posts

Agreed. Patrick really put the caddywompus on it when he flew back into the airplane with the wingsuit on. But for me, a mere commoner with 20 years in the sport, I still live for perfect 8-way exits. I have done bigger (up to 16-way off the plane), but I truly love 8-way exits.
As an active Instructor, I like almost all phases of student training. But I must admit, teaching novices/intermediates the joy of launching 4-way is among my favorite jobs. Once they finally grasp that technique they are truly on their way.
As far as boogie screw-around goes, there is nothing like rolling a big tube out the back of a tailgate aircraft. My favorite was a 12-way out of a Caribou; nice. Back "in the day", it was quite common for someone's rig to open prematurely; thank got for "freefly safe" rigs!
Gotta run!

ok, big way exits allmost are fantastic at all, when 100´s of people exit one or more airplanes at the same time, that´ll be a spectacel itself. exits from a 4-way or 8-way are allso fantastic. no question. but for me the most specticular was that what patrik de gayardon have done.
also fantastic exits are when a military c-130 or c-160 descends beetween 40 and 60 staticline jumper.
so all exits with more than 20 people are fantastic.
but my personally favourite is still standing!!!!!!!!!!
blue skies to all out there

I haven't seen (or participated in :() many exits, but one of the coolest I've seen is from a Monkey Claw video - I think it's the first one on that page. One of the cameramen is actually on top of the Otter. First time I saw it, I was like "they must have had a zoom lens mounted on another plane...?"
Duh. ;)

The coolest thing that I have been a part of is a "Mr. Bill". Two skydivers exit holding onto each other and you deploy the P/C immediately upon exit. The other guy holds onto you, if he can, during deployment. Then when your passenger is ready to jump off of you...they do. It is pretty weird.

I still like to backloop out the door from time to time, especially with a friend, or just run out of the plane and jump into a ball and hold it for as long as possible...
I did a big-way at the weekend and we launched an absolutely perfect 6-way star as the base...It was one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen....and the most surprising....;)
CLlimbing out on the camera step is also pretty cool, especially if there's a big linked exit in the door that you can float down in front of...Not quite Patrick de Gayardon but maybe some day....
E;)
