June 14-17 (1) Super Skyvan @ Skydance So *that's* where the skyvan is coming from!! Cool! I'm definitely looking forward to it, seeing as how I've only jumped from a 182 & a Caravan. We'll take good care of her!btw, how many does a skyvan hold? And how long 'til 14k? Just curious...Blue skies, sweet rides,Karen
Greg 0 #3 April 24, 2001 Quotehow many does a skyvan hold? And how long 'til 14k? Just curious...She will hold @ 20-23 very happy jumpers, and depending on the load, can gracefully acsend to @ 14 K in 10-15 minutes. She is my favorite, and I know I will miss her, seems like she will be gone most of the summer. You are in for a real treat if you have not tried a jump out of the skyvan. Works great for launching tubes, and horney gorillas, plus it has a bar underneath that you can hang from (I have not tried that yet, but Ive seen it done!!) My first Tandem was from a SkyVan and one of the jumpers slipped his feet under the bar and hung upside down before exiting. REALLY COOL!! It's on the Door? The bar is actually under the door, kind of on the bottom of the plane. But, yeah, I have seen the "hangin from the feet" thing, and it is sooooo cool!! You can actually launch some kick ass exits, the door is huge. Its like jumping out of your garrage door!!Blue ones!!Greg A-37958
 lummy 4 #7 April 24, 2001 Hehe... We'd be glad to have you along, Jason. We've got a twin-otter coming up from Kaposwin (near Seattle) for our May Meet... but I'd sure love to do a tail-gate exit from a skyvan sometime!
 mountainman 0 #10 May 1, 2001 Did my first and only jump out of a CASA 212!!! Those are some pretty sweet birds. They have one of those and some other fast planes at SGC. However, the CASA was probalby best one. Nothin beats jumpin into dead air and then having the relative wind just catch you and suck you out!!blusNEW AND IMPROVED!!!http://home.woh.rr.com/brandonandlaura/
 lazerq3 0 #11 May 1, 2001 QuoteWe'd be glad to have you along, Jason.
