There was no cypress, no RSL -- eliminating these as causes of the two out. I had two jumps on the same rig on Friday, 3 previous jumps on the rig that day. Another jumper was sharing the rental with me and jumped the rig twice on Sunday. There was a reserve pin check on the ground prior to this jump and the pin was seated firmly and correctly. It all shows what a clear head we must have to be able to save ourselves in times like that. I am so glad that you are okay. To your wife: im sorry that you had to have a scare like that. I cant imagine what it would be like to have been in your shoes, not knowing what was going on until you got there and saw for yourself. Youre a very loving wife to be able to say "get back up there in the air!" or something similar to that. Your story terrifies me and gives me hope at the same time. It is hard to hear that something like that could happen even if you do everything right but great to hear that if you fight like the devil you can come through all that shit.
