Cross Keys Wkend

Well we got to meet teh one and only SpeedRacer! Got to witness some classic NJ weather- beautiful morning then a big thunderstorm that clears in an hour. The DZ was pretty smoking this weekend I must say.. sorry about that mispoured shot, speedy. =c)
On a good note too- I did my first four way with vertical drills included. 13 points on a dive with two vertical changes- accordion-break-accordion and zigzag-marquis. Flying in burbles is definitely fun!!! Started some coaching in head down freestyle too.
The US National CRW team (8 way speed) was training at Cross Keys this weekend and that was amazing to watch.

CrossKeys rocks! I only made one jump on Saturday, because it wasn't until the end of the day they'd let people up who had less than 100 jumps. Brought beer (First time at Crosskeys, first time in a Cessna caravan). Saturday night was fun, I got to drink two orange shooters upside down on that gravity inversion board. Harder than it looks!
Finally got to meet Froggie that night, but I was already pretty wasted by the time she showed up. Sunday morning I did a four-way with people I knew from Virginia: Mike & Laura, and one other guy named Randy. We turned sixteen points! YEEEHAW! That was jump number 50 for me, I just need to take the test & I could get my B license!
Froggie seemed a little shy, but I didn't get a chance to talk to her much before I had to leave for Boston. I was going to say goodbye to her, but when I finally found her (I'm not used to big dropzones) she was running off to help some guy who hurt his foot/leg landing badly on the runway. Does anyone know what happened to him??
Crosskeys ROCKS! I'm definitely coming back someday, tolls or not, because I still want to jump out of that Stearman biplane!!

We're scheduled for a tandem at Pepperell on Friday. My older brother's girlfriend is going to do the tandem, she's psyched! My older brother is paying for her video, but as for doing a tandem himself, he said no f^&*ing way. My twin brother is ambivalent about it, but he wants to ride up to Pepperell with us & watch. Maybe he'll change his mind!
And I'll try to get in a couple of jumps myself. Looks like I'll owe another case of beer!!Speed Racer

hey. yeah. sorry about the whole "shy" thing. saturday night i crashed out for a bit then headed home to sleep. Sunday was kinda hectic w/ that "lets land on the runway and not PLF" guy. He hung out for a bit. Drove home and said that he will be going to the doctors. Havent heard from him yet. Prolly see him this weekend. will let you know how hes doing.
