Zennie 0 #1 May 16, 2001 First off, way to go bossman! Great interview! I've said it before and I'll say it again. Troy rocks. He's the most un-skygod "celebrity" we have. And that's what makes him a true skygod. Real down to earth and obviously in it for the love of the sport. I'd love to buy him a beer one of these days. When I was first starting out I emailed him and I was totally amazed when he emailed me back offering encouragement. How many other TV/sports personalities would do that?Couple of questions I would have liked to ask:1. Do you still do "fun jumps"? Like freefly, RW or CRW?2. Have you ever thought of getting together with JJ to do your own show?------------Blue Skies!Zennie
Shark 0 #2 May 16, 2001 Yeah, I met him and Joe Jennings on the ride up to altitude last month during one of their skysurf sessions at Elsinore. Really cool.

PalmettoTiger 1 #6 May 16, 2001 Ya, Kevin, great interview! When I first saw "Senseless" I was appalled - to me it was exactly the kind of thing that most people think of when they stereotype skydivers. Since I was working with (against?) the school administration to try and start a skydiving club, the show just frustrated me. A while later I read through his website and got a better idea of who he is and why he does those stunts. This interview also helped me understand him a little more. I'm still ambivalent about some of the stunts, but now I have a lot more respect for Troy Hartman than I initially did.I'll say it again - great interview!!Blues, squares,PTiger
sangiro 26 #7 May 16, 2001 I love this interview too! All the credit goes to Kevin Orkin (kevin922) who took the initiative after the discussion about all the bad news on the home page, contacted Troy himself, wrote it and there you go! He just sent me another interview with Carl Nespoli - will be up next Monday!Thank you so much Kevin! You rock.Safe swoopsSangiro
