Dutchboy 0 #5 April 5, 2001 If you want to warm up for this boogie you should stop by Skydive Atlanta that week. They are running 10-14 Super Otter loads on WEEKDAYS from May 12-20. They have the US 8-way CReW team practicing during that time. On the 20th Nemesis is having another 4-way skills camp.I say hit Thomaston Monday - Thursday, hit Monroe Friday & Saturday, and then back to Thomaston for the skills camp. Who is with me? freaksister 0 #8 May 15, 2001 Corndogs, chicken wings? Ewww just what I like to eat when I am jumping all day in 100% humidity at 85 degrees!! NOT!lol Still I will check out their "food cart thinger!" LOL I don't usually eat much when jumping anyway...except when the day is over...I get really hungry and need BEER!! If I don't have any way to eat I just drink my dinner but that isn't exactly the most preferable.I am stoked, I didn't expect to be able to jump a CASA for a long time! WOOHOO!! One of my skydiving dreams come true! So how many people usually attend this thing each year?? I heard its pretty big...Sis"What we're all really seeking is something where we can feel the rapture of being alive."J.Campbell
what42 0 #9 May 15, 2001 I'll definately be there. I've only got 3 more AFF levels to do now before I'll be on my own. I plan to go out to the dropzone Wednesday and do 1 maybe 2 jumps so that I can either finish my AFF before or at the beginning of the boogie. I want to jump the CASA. It sounds like it'll be a lot of fun.Wesley--I want to fly!
freaksister 0 #10 May 15, 2001 Hey cool, I didn't realize you jumped there. Hope you can get your AFF finished so you can jump the CASA! See you Wesley!Sis Oh yeah, Polish Sausage??? major EWWWWWW! cyberskydive 0 #11 May 15, 2001 I think the food selection is rather humorous as well - but they are a bunch of local folks who started coming out a few weeks ago, they have to get used to what folks like to eat I think, although they make some kick ass wings :)They also have sanwiches etc - Wes you'll love the casa, my first casa jumps were around A license land, very fun, (no more PLF's in the dirt man LOL) the casa will be back in sept as well. Most of the boogies are jam-packed, and by the way all the hotels are filling up I believe this one is gonna be no exception. People come from all over every year.Casa scheduled to roll in Noon Fri I beleive, so SIS, when you guys show up the jumping may already be ON! _Loljust to give ya some insight onto how it runs normally, when you show up first thing you're gonna wanna do is register, and have your gear checked etc, Manifest works on a ticket system, you buy lift tickets from the manifestess, give you're ticket to the loading dude when ya get on the plane. So best bet, when ya register, buy as many tickets as jumps you wanna try and make that day, or buy a few so you dont have to wait in line or anything for at least a few loads. is this post long enough yet?later!D.Chisolm C-28534webmaster@sunraydesigns.comhttp://www.sunraydesigns.com
what42 0 #12 May 15, 2001 QuoteWes you'll love the casa, my first casa jumps were around A license land, very fun, (no more PLF's in the dirt man LOL) Yeah, my landings suck so far. I knew I was screwed when after my flare I looked down and I was still about 6 feet above the ground. Next time I'm aiming for the grass. At least it wasn't my rig I covered in dirt and I kept it clean the next jump. LOL. I've definately got to work on the flare timing.Wesley--I want to fly! freaksister 0 #13 May 15, 2001 Hey Wesley, what I *try* (not always possible) to do is watch a couple of loads and see what their landing pattern and/or flare is like...use something as a reference point. At my home DZ it is the windsock. I found out yesterday (thanks to Pammi!! Cyber!!! This is going to ROCK!!! Dude we are all going to have so much fun!! I really want to do a tracking dive off the back of the CASA on a high-speed (210 mph!) pass! I talked to a guy Sunday who made it sound really fucking cool. Plus, lately I have been into tracking. It would be cool if the three of us (you, me and Pyke) could do a tracking dive together...if we practiced and all that shit first! Anyway, I am rambling. I am getting excited. I think this is just going to be too much fun! I get to meet my dz.com buddies I have been talking to for so long! Let's party!! Sis P.S. I check the weather a lot and so far it looks STELLAR!!!!!!!"What we're all really seeking is something where we can feel the rapture of being alive."J.Campbell
what42 0 #14 May 15, 2001 QuoteMy motto is: "If I am embarassed it doesn't matter as long as I am alive and hopefully unbroken!!" LOLLOL Yeah, This early in my skydiving career I just think of it as "Any landing I walk away from is a good one." And, except for a small bruise on my ass from some rocks, that landing didn't hurt me.Wesley--I want to fly!

Got other obligations. I'll definitely be at Thomaston next weekend for the Memorial day boogie, for at least a couple days. Dutchboy 0 #21 May 16, 2001 QuoteI am suprised you are getting out of the house for your much-advertised 100th jump! That's part of the reason I can't make this weekend. She actually went down to the DZ last weekend for my 100th that almost happened. It's not just my wife that has me too busy this week between work, kung fu, flying, building an airplane, house stuff, and skydiving I don't have much free time in general. Just one of those weeks were everything hit at once. The Dutchboyhttp://www.geocities.com/ppolstra
