phastasphuk 0 #1 May 24, 2001 Now I wanna join and it seems appropriate to do so with an introduction...I'm Chris and do my skydiving back home in Sweden, but since I'm not there but at work on a boat stuck outside India in a typhoon makes life is a little bit difficult. All I dream of all day is going back home and jump...Have surfed every skydive site (feels like it) but this is the best so far cause I don't get so homesick being around you guys. Not that anything can replace the feeling of a nice dive, but the athmosphere here reminds me of being home at the DZ.Have been hanging around in the background for a week now, it's time to change that. Done. And how posts must I do before I get of my newbie status..?cheerschrisHow would you like too stick with meHow much do you love to freefall

skybytch 273 #3 May 24, 2001 Welcome Chris!! I know what you mean about the atmosphere here; these people have helped keep me sane during the last seven months of not jumping (due to an injury). Hope that weather gets better and you can get off the water and back in the air real soon!pull and flare, lisa
cyberskydive 0 #4 May 24, 2001 Hey Chris! Nice to meet ya! Why in the world would you get on that boat in the first place? Military? Did they promise copter jumps onto the deck?-LOLDont forget about happy hour!D.Chisolm C-28534webmaster@sunraydesigns.comhttp://www.sunraydesigns.com
PalmettoTiger 1 #5 May 25, 2001 Welcome Chris! How strong is that typhoon? If you go out on deck and de-arch real hard, maybe you and a buddy could turn a point or two as the boat comes over the crest of a wave. If you decide to stay inside and post to DZ.com, I think you become an Enthusiast at 50, Old Hand at 300, and Addict at 700. Anything beyond that, and you'll have to wait for Skreamer to chart some more untouched territory. Blues, squares,PTiger

I injured my back from a tree landing late last fall and couldn't jump and was so looking forward to starting again this spring and ended up wrecking my knee while painting at the DZ on clean up weekend! Arghhhhhh! So I can really relate. It sucks! Hopefully in another month I'll be back jumping. Hope you will be jumping again soon too!Chris - Welcome to dz.com! How long are you out on the boat for? Good luck trying to stay sane (if you were lucky enough to begin with! Blue 1111,D
 Join the conversation You can post now and register later.
