Recommended Posts

I have a new record, although I didnt know I had a record until I broke it,... Hummm.......
Anyway, I atually went TWO WEEKS AND TWO DAYS without skydiving in blue skies! That is pathetic!!!
I make myself sick. <<>>
I was doing some other stuff which wasn't important.
Man, glad thats over with. Thought the withdrawls were gonna do me in. Whew.
Oh, you were thinking ..... about something else...... ?

BWAHAHAHAH!
I'm sure many of the people on the forum (myself included) could blow away any streak you have going at the moment. As for the no skydiving streak, my longest was 5 weeks during AFF (about a year ago), but I've been truely blessed so far this year. My longest period no-skydiving streak for 2001 is 8 days. :P

My last jump was august 28th 2000

Okay, now I don't feel so bad! My last jump was October 21, 2000 - over seven months ago! This is the longest time I've gone with a skydive in over 11 years. Did four jumps in October, that was ending a 5 month "drought", which means I've done exactly four jumps in the past 12 months. All because of two little discs in my back...
Good thing is with luck the drought will be over in about 3 weeks!!!!! I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!
oh yeah, the other? It's only been 3 weeks since I got some of that... but it will probably be July before I get any more...
pull and flare,
lisa

I can't believe it! Same exact day I made my last jump. Seems like forever ago. I hurt my back on that one and then we had the worst winter here in the NorthEast and just when I was getting ready to start again (April 1), with new gear and all, I tore the ligaments in my knee. :( I go to the doctor next Thursday and I'm crossing my fingers for good news. If my knee hasn't healed good enough I still may need surgery and that will pretty much take me out for the rest of this season. If that happens I just may jump out of a plane with NO parachute!
As for the other... Saturday night. :)Blue 1111,
D

As of tomorrow it will be 9 weeks. I have one week to go then the Dr says I can jump all I want. 9 weeks ago I went to the doctor because I wasn't feeling good (I'll leave out the details)and ended up in the hospital scheduled for exploratory surgery...they couldn't see my appendix. 6 hours later I come out of surgery with alot less of my gut then I went in with (appendix was still there, but the rest of me was falling apart), my Mom was flying in from CA, and I had a very worried boyfriend at my bedside. It took me a few days to realize how close I came to meeting my maker.
Anyway....its 7 days and counting. I'm happy to be here to make my next jump although it has been frustrating to be on the ground (especially the day my Boyfriend did the balloon jump and I drove the chase vehicle). I've also learned how many friends I have...they are all the ones who threatened to tie me down or sit on me if I even looked like I was going to gear up and head to a plane. Skydive Dallas is a wonderful DZ to call home.
Stay safe and keep smiling!
Susan
