Pammi 0 #1 May 29, 2001 What fun!! Left work and headed straight to the DZ for a nice long weekend. Got 6 jumps in, even with a packed house of students and tandems. Did some CRW (pulled off a bi-plane!! Next up...downplane!), some fun RW, a sit-train (even held a sit by myself for a few seconds facing Merrick, who was also in a sit, after we broke away from our 'train'! THANKS KRIS!! That worked out great the way you told us to do that!!! ) and even some para-sailing!! We got shut down Saturday nights cuz of storms coming in that grounded the plane, so we got inventive with a big canopy, some rope and a pickup truck! That was awesome!! Nothing like being a human kite! Oh, and passed my A test! As soon as I get all my stuff filled out and faxed in, I'll be 'official'. What a great time. Skydiving, partying, para-sailing, freeflying, CRW...phew, I'm tired. OH SHIT! How could I forget this too! Did a "Shasta McNasty" with one of our awesome freeflyers, Brandon! It was so fun!! Merrick and I was planning just an RW dive, and he was like "How about you guys just make sure you have good grips on each other, I'll swoop down to you, and we'll just see what happens." Cool. So we do it, are sitting there belly-flying, and here comes Brandon! He takes grips then grabs our chest strap, then goes into this stand underneath us!! We start just cooking downward while he swings back-and-forth under us, like we're his human swingset! It was so cool!!!Man I love this stuff Blue skies!!!!Pammi"The question is not whether we will die, but how we will live." http://trak.to/skydivechick

Stacy 0 #3 May 29, 2001 sounds awesome pammi! our weekend up here was pretty amazing too... monkey claw had thier freefly jam which was incredible... around the world beverages, someone lit themselves on fire, gladiator joust, some BASE jumping off the lockers, tiki mania, and then of course skydiving. pulled off a sweet 7 way with Roger Ponce last night, turned more points i think on that jump than I have on a 4 way which was pretty sweet. =c) Off to jump... skies are gorgeous here...Blues!Stacyhttp://astro.temple.edu/~sweeks

skybytch 273 #6 May 30, 2001 -Weekend Comparison--Pammi vs. skybytch-Round 1 - Pammi left work on Friday and went straight to the dz with her main squeeze; for, we assume, skydiving, drinking and debauchery. skybytch left work on Friday and went straight home; for a beer, some time online and a good book before bed (alone).Round 2 - Pammi spends entire weekend at dz with main squeeze; skydiving, drinking, debauching and otherwise having a really good time. skybytch spends entire weekend at home; drinking beer, being online and reading good books before bed (alone).Judge's decision - Pammi's weekend knocks skybytch's weekend out 10 seconds into the second round. skybytch would bite Pammi's ear off if she could reach it. Since she can't, she tells Pammi "Watch out! There will be a rematch! Three more weeks and I can have a real weekend too!"Sorry, first beer hitting me a bit hard again.... pull and flare, lisa
Deleted 0 #7 May 30, 2001 Pammi,It was an awesome weekend, wasn't it? Tony, Larry, Charlie & I tried a CRW attempt on Friday but I didn't even get close. I did realize that I can't wait to order my staff Mirage next month because my Talon is too damn uncomfortable to be hanging in the harness for 10,000 feet.Brandon is an amazing freeflier. We were just going to try a no-pressure two-way last fall but on the ride up he told me to sit & go fast (like that's a problem for me, the human missile) and damned if he didn't swoop over in a head-down and throw a mind-meld on me.As for the para-sailing, it did rock, didn't it... If you could have only seen the look in your eyes when the slack got pulled out of the line and you got yanked skyward. But in your defense, you did land with a big-grin on your face. :)I had a killer solo on Saturday. I stuck my head down and on my sit I was able to back-loop, front-loop and cartwheel it. I think I just took care of the pesky style requirements for my next license even if it wasn't done on my belly, heh.Too bad you missed Tony's 1000th jump, Palmer's skydive and the great pie-war. There were many casualities but then again, there were many pastries...Hope to see you & Merrick out there this weekend.
Deleted 0 #8 May 30, 2001 Quote -Weekend Comparison--Pammi vs. skybytch- Wow, and you sounded like such a nice, non-catty girl whenever I would call up to order stuff. You know I'm just playing Lisa, hope you're able to get back in the air sooner but if not, have a cold one for me.Kris
skybytch 273 #9 May 30, 2001 QuoteWow, and you sounded like such a nice, non-catty girl whenever I would call up to order stuff.Well I gotta do sumthin to live up to my nickname... too many people have been telling me I'm too nice to be a BYTCH! 'Sides, with luck I've only got three more weeks of being this bitchy. Once I've gotten my knees in the breeze I'll be much easier to get along with. Promise.pull and flare, lisa
Iflyme 0 #10 May 30, 2001 Awesome weekend, you skydiver, you! Tell us more about your CReW jump, Pammi!

Pammi 0 #12 May 30, 2001 Quote-Weekend Comparison--Pammi vs. skybytch-You're hilarious!! I was wondering when you are gonna get back up there! Glad to hear that it's gonna be soon! (covering her ears) Now, now...you know you can kick my a$$ in the air any day! It's about time this skydiving thing started being more fun then work dammit!! LOL!Now we need to do that jump we talked about Kris!! Cuz you know I'm still a bellyflyer, but....ssshhhh...I was already lookin at freefly suits online yesterday. Hehe. Got the one I want all picked out if I can just get my old rig sold, it's gonna be mine! After only one sitfly...rofl!CRW was awesome Ifly! I must give 'props' to Tony though...I definately couldn't have pulled it off without him..he did most of the work! That's just unreal to sit on someone else's canopy, then slide your legs down the line until you're right on top of them. UNREAL!! Then I almost pinned him, we flew side-by-side for a bit, then he darn near pinned me again but I slid off the front of the canopy and was grabbing at it trying to pull myself back up but had to give it up. LOL! I can't wait to try the downplane!! Gosh, what a conflict...I want to learn more freefly and practice sits some more. Yet I want to do more RW and CRW also!! Man, I need to find somewhere to do a bunch of HALO jumps so I can do a couple points, then go into a sit and open at about 8,000 for some CRW. WOOHOO! That'd be the shit if someone could pull it off wouldn't it?! heheIs it the weekend again yet???Pammi"The question is not whether we will die, but how we will live." http://trak.to/skydivechick

Kris 0 #14 May 31, 2001 Yikes, two anonymous posts. I've got to make sure I remember to login in the future. :)As for the HALO multi-dive Pammi, it's called jumping Mike Mullin's King Air at Quincy when he does his daily loads to 23K during the convention.
