Oh, PT, you know he has had his name in Parachutist before! Surely, he has had it in there for his licenses, if nothing else.
You full-on admitted to me that you were looking for an excuse to post! HOSER!!! J/K, Dan...

Dangit, that's the last time I tell you any of my juicy secrets. Besides, I thought Rising Fallers didn't count! We should probably exempt Incident Reports, too. Though come to think of it, they don't even publish names with those.

Ramon almost had his name in the incident reports. It is an incident I will never forget. Ramon the human cartwheel. But he almost nailed the accuracy spot, with his right shoulder I think. I had a nasty view of it. EeeeKkkkk!
Its all good now Ramon is quietly becoming one of the DZ's best freeflyers & freeflyin video dudes. He is on his way to Eloy in a week or so. (dog)

Was he doing an accuracy jump or did he just sort of wind up there?
There was a lot of shake-rattle-&-rolling going on at the DZ this weekend. On Saturday I had a bad crosswind landing that banged up my knee (still taking ibuprofen for it) and I didn't even win the "Biff of the Day Award". Then on Sunday me, Alisha & Jim all three clear the treeline by no more than a hundred yards.
BTW Ann, I finally met Brit on Sunday but where wuz you (and has Skeeter squished his new companion yet? :o)?

Brit's awesome ain't she Zen? She was actually at OSC for a while...haven't seen her since then tho :D I hear stories of what an awesome freeflyer she is now! Just an all-around kicka$$ skydiver! Tell her OSC says hi!

Hey, we talking about my little friend, Brittany. She is getting major coverage on my page now. She has been jumping with me at Spaceland starting last week. I was suposed to meet her at SLand Sunday but I had to go and pick up the next worlds greatest DZ dog, besides Skeet, (Great Dane).
So I told her we would jump this week with Flea and then again this weekend at the boogie. We did a three way, 6 way with a tube and a 2 way with Brit skysurfing and myself sitting. Its cool we already have team colors and team shoes picked out. We jump with our team sandals now!
he he he! Cause we be bad ass!
Flea is short for Flea Flyer. He is a Toy Rat Terrier, like the guy on Frasier except 1/2 as big or a 1/3 as big. He will be about 7 to 10 lbs. In direct porportions to Skeet being massive, Flea is very small. So we are designing a tandem harness for Mr. Flea Flyer right now. We hope to jump Wed. for his first jump or on the weekend at the Boogie. His first jump pictures will be on the web site and maybe his first jump video as well. Anyway goggles may be a problem at 8 weeks old I will have to get doll glasses for him. His harness will fit on my chest strap and anchor again on my leg straps or around my waist. Since I will be sitting till pull time, Flea Flyer will likely not get too much wind till then. I have talked to him about it and Skeet too, (since technically Flea is Skeeters companion), and they are ok with it as long as the jumpmasters ok the harness as sound. And everyone agrees he is safe in harness. I agree with Skeet and Flea Flyer, if we are good to skydive -- then we skydive! If not we dont.
Zennie: Brit will be out alot. And she is good people. As soon as I can get the camera on my head we are going to be throwing out some serious female freeflyin footage. Yahoo!

That's way cool Ann! I'll bet Flea will LOVE it too. I almost wish my Border Collies were small enough to jump with... (but I guess that'd not be smart with my recent back problems huh?! ;))
Sitting with him instead of belly flying or head down is an excellent idea; there was a guy (Robin - I forget his last name) who did that with his pooch often. If you aren't having a rigger put the harness/attachments together be sure to have a rigger check it out before you jump.
But be very very careful about who you show pics/video to. Some people feel that taking your animal jumping with you is just wrong and you WILL get shit for it, from both whuffos and jumpers, if you share the photographic evidence.

It kind of depends on the dog. Robin Wilcox's dog Pud seemed downright mellow in all the pics I've seen of him. Now if only students could relax like that....
Here's a pic of Robin & Pud.
Pick up that baton and run with it Ann! :)------------

Brit is very good people. Just last fall she was working on her AFF and now she has over 250 jumps. She sent me the link to her skysurfing pictures and all I could do was smile, she's a true natural.
Here's one of my better stories about her:
Last October, we decide to take this perpetually happy and kind of strange girl named Brit on her first sit-attempt. It was me, Larry Chandler, Kevin Oaks and Miss Brit out of the 182.
We put Larry at the edge of the step, then Brit, me and Kevin has my rig in grips from behind. I figured we'd put Brit in between Larry and Me as Larry is a stable base and I can grab Brit and hold her stable to get used to the feeling.
Well, Like Pam and Merrick learned from our jump last weekend, the plan is one thing, the actual dive can be another beast entirely...
Larry climbed out to the edge, Brit climbed out and took grips on the back of Larry's rig and just as I'm reaching for Brittany I see Larry's hand slip from the strut and then they're gone.
I immediately dived after them, hoping to catch Brit before she inevitably corked since it was her first sit-train. That didn't happen. I watched her throw Larry between her legs and she locked her feet under his armpits (ewww), then she threw her arms out like a bird-of-prey. They had a 2-way train that was locked, stocked and ready to rock.
I was so surprised and amazed I actually stopped in mid-dive and just grinned like a fool.
She has really taken to this sport we love like a fish to water and Brit, if you're reading this, you are one bad girly.
And Airann, if you see Brit before she reads this, the next time you talk to her, end all of your sentances with "Rockin!". Muahaha! She'll get the joke.
I really hate to inflate her ego, especially with her new pink hair, but I think our next up-n'-comer is going to be Pammi. You're catching on to things really quickly now and you're doing a lot better than you think you are. Enjoy it!

This guy already needs an ADD.
Automatic Doggie Device.
He is diving off the couch like no problem and he is only 8 weeks old. He is doing advanced stuff for his age. Going to the bathroom outside! The most amazing thing is he stands up to Skeet who when at ease is waist high from his back. His head is bigger than mine. His ear bigger than Flea. The whole dog is bigger than Levin. BUT, when he accidently gets too close to Skeet's stuff, bones & giant toys, Skeet will growl at Flea. Flea shakes his head and growls back. He also bites his tail, he jumps up to get at it. And chews on his back feet. Skeet is gentle with him cause he has to be with the cats. So, he kinda thinks he is a funny smelling cat.
Animals are my thing! EXAMPLE: Brittany. Just kidding. Or even better EXAMPLE: ZENNIE
At any rate everyone in this house is spoiled rotten even Levin. But dont tell him I said that. We have the 2 dogs Skeet, Great Dane and Flea Flyer, Toy Rat Terrier, Monster, Target, Oscar & MultiCat are the 4 cats. Levin wanted me to get an Emu, Bear, Cougar, or a Monkey. Then last night he says get a shark. Ok, no more watching Animal Planet TV. Skeet has a winter coat, Royal Blue and a rain coat- red with black fur collar. Great Dane Dog Coats are big and hard to find. I can find a rain coat for Flea EZ, I hope. Neither one likes to go out in the rain. Neither would I.
Thanks for the Pud Picture. I am hoping that Derrick will rig Flea Flyer's harness for me. (rigger) Or at least make any modifications to rig as needed. I want to make absolutely sure he is not going to wiggle out or etc. Levin says the way I am about animals "I would go in trying to save Flea". Thats is why it has to be perfect.

*blush* Thanks Kris :) I sure hope so..there's so much I want to do, it's all so much fun! I'm lucky to have had Merrick and people like you guys down at OSC urging me on during my 'student progression from he**' this last year! That's what's great about OSC...having everyone from freeflyers like you and RW/accuracy gods like Bob Clark who'll jump with newbies like me and still boost my spirits even when it goes bad!
Love you Kris!!
Pammi
OH! And yeah Lisa...put a little pink in my hair last week...really liked it, so put even more in! hehe It's fading already tho, so gonna have to find something more permanent now that I know I like it! Cotton Candy Pammi...ew...sounds a bit prissy. LOL!

Hehehe.... I resemble that remark! I have this thing for wolves. Amazing animals. Very complex social structure. Moody. Hmmm...... :D

Oh yeah Brit...your name still comes up at OSC, particularly with the 'regulars', a few of whom you've jumped with I believe...Charlie, Kris and Brandon? Glad to hear you're having such a good time down there!!
