DickMcMahon 0 #1 June 8, 2001 Am planning a trip to the wind tunnel in Orlando next month to work on stability.Anyone here have experience with that place? Thanks, Dickhttp://www.dickmcmahon.com
slotperfect 7 #2 June 8, 2001 It's very good. All the air is clean, even next to the walls. It's much better than the one in Pigeon Forge, TN. But if the weather's bad outside, it's bad inside, because the impeller draws it's air through the bottom net directly from outside. So if it's raining outside, it's raining inside too. Gusty winds outside also make it hard to fly. The best part about it is the mirrored wall about 8 feet up. You can park yourself in front of it and check yourself out as you fine tune your body position.Respectfully,SP
cloud9 0 #3 June 8, 2001 Hey DickI don't know anything about the Orlando wind tunnel, but I'm glad to see you following up. I am sure it will help with stability and confidence. Hope you make that next jump! Good luck, by the way enjoyed your web site. Now go forth and get stable, Bleau Skies
Keys 0 #4 June 8, 2001 It's great. You really have no idea how all over the place you are until you get in there and start bouncing off the walls. And yeah, the mirrors are awsome. I had about 50 jumps when I went in and it helped a lot. They also film the whole thing. One note: Try to get in during the daylight, the darker it gets the more bugs get sucked into the thing. mouth 0 #5 June 8, 2001 A group of us are going down June 23-24 with two coaches. The cost is $625 for an hour of time and the coaching. I think they still have a few slots open if you want to get in on it just pop me an email at mouth@nlamerica.com and I'll put you in touch with the right people. The two coaches are very good...one was on Nemesis which placed 2nd at nationals last year in 4 way, and the other competed with Deland Chain Gang. Deleted 0 #6 June 8, 2001 I just got back from the Airspeed tunnel camp three weeks ago and I thought it was great. You can get coaching from the tunnel employees if you are not going to attend the Airspeed camp. Whatever you do, get your tunnel time on video. It is amazing all the mistakes you can see, and fix from the video. Have fun.Keith
