oh to nj!!!!!

Recommended Posts

okay guys, the time has finally come! i got a month(a years worth) of vacation planned to start this sunday. i'm going back to "the heart of it all", ohio. and will be taking a nice drive over to nj to jump at cross keys and visit a friend in pa. i have a nice drive ahead of me on that journey, so any body jump at a dz between columbus ohio and new jersey? i'll be driving I-70 and the pa turnpike most of the way. would love to break up the drive with maybe a jump at a dz along the way.

There are a few DZ's (that I know of) right near Pittsburgh (one in Grove City, north of the TP, and one Beaver (yes, it's a town) - not USPA, and another, but I forget the town's name (but they have a four way team called the steel-airs), there is also one in Chambersburgh (middle of the state, but farther south off the TP). check out the USPA DZ directory for others.

Taylor Air Sports is in Lancaster. Thats only like 20 minutes off I-70 at Columbus. If your around earlier in the week stop down at Skydive Greene County. The CASA is gone this weekend but I heard we should still have the 2 Westwinds in addition to the Beach 18.
Whoa... That was cool!

If you want to drive a little north there is the Batavia Boogie at the Genessee County Airport in Batavia about 2 1/2 miles NE of the 90 at the Batavia exit (only one exit). We shut down our DZ at Frontier Skydivers and I know Malone shuts theirs down too as well as Ovid. We usually get 125 to 150 jumpers. CSS flys us up a CASA. Dates are from June 27 to July 1st. Look me up if you make it.

Hey Nut !
Glad to hear you're back on this side of the pond.......and I'd love to make a jump or two with you ! I'm practically in your backyard -- just go east to Cleveland, take a right (South) on I-77, and a mere 11-hour cruise will put you right in the heart of North Carolina ! First jump is my treat.......
