Fatality in France

I heard this on the radio last night, someone posted the following (from teletext) on uk.rec.skydiving:

WOMAN DIES IN PARACHUTE DROP
A British student plunged to her death in a parachute accident in south west
France, the Foreign Office has said.
Susan Westwood, 23, a postgraduate student at Leeds University, died
attempting a jump near Bordeaux.
Witnesses said Miss Westwood, from Middlesbrough, became tangled in the
ropes of her main parachute and opened her reserve chute too late.

That's the only reference I've found so far. My condolences of course to anyone that knew Susan.

Has anyone heard any more on this? I didn't even see this thread until it was brought to my attention (thank you). My sincere condolences prayers to her family and friends during this difficult time.

I'm really sorry to hear that Gus. Was she a student? Do you know her home DZ in England?
I will ask at Langar this weekend - I will be thinking of her friends and family in this difficult time for them.

This was on the BBC Leeds news site, a couple more details but no mention of the home dz or any real explanation of the accident.
