Going for L4 and L5 today!!

Recommended Posts

My knee feels fine after my mishap on Monday and I'm ready to jump again. Was planning on doing 3 jumps that day, but since I didn't get my first one until 7 pm I didn't make it. So, going to go do the other 2 today. Beautiful weather....High 80's, no clouds, 5-10mph winds. Very humid though. CrossKeys here I come...

Ok...here's my story...got winded out again!!! When I got there at 2, someone was doing there L-4, then the winds kicked up to 17mph and stayed there all day until 1 1/2 hours before sunset. Then it was too late to get on a load. At least I got some thorough instruction. My instructor decided to skip L-4 and just go for L-5 (only difference being 360 turns instead of 90, and add forward movement). We rehearsed the dive flow about a dozen times, then got final word that my jump was scrapped. Oh well, someone gave me an Alti-2 t-shirt, so not a total loss. Definitely gotta lay off the skipping out of work early for a while though. And this weekend is supposed to be bad weather, so don't know when I can jump again :-( I just want to get done my AFP.

hey kev-
you shoulda stuck around a little longer! THe lady who gave you the Alti 2 shirt pretty much runs ALti 2, the company. Name is Kat and she's on a team called Flashpoint that is training at Cross Keys this week with Doug Park (the guy I was coaching with yesterday as well). After sunset Flashpoint provided some mighty tasty margaritas for the masses!! Lots of stories between listening to Doug, Roger, and some other high timers and big names in the sport. =c)
