Dutchboy 0 #1 June 25, 2001 One of my buddies did his 1st jump on Saturday. He had the perfect jump, and video. The guy was totally not afraid. Of course, he had watched some of my videos before to "prepare his mind and body for skydiving". I guess he knew what to expect and thought I had survived the experience over 100 times so he would probably be OK.The Dutchboyhttp://www.geocities.com/ppolstra
Brokeneagle 0 #2 June 25, 2001 Cool, Dutch! More fresh meat- So- when's he start the program, and which way is he choosing to fly?Brokeneagle. It's only the giving that makes you what you are... In the end, only kindness matters....
DZBone 0 #3 June 25, 2001 The key will be how soon he actually gets back to the DZ and starts a course.I have seen so many fjc's, especially tandems, that come down all charged up and ready to dedicate their lives to skydiving, only to have one thing after another come up to keep them from getting back. Then the feeling fades, and they revert back to being whuffos. So tragic.Carl
Dutchboy 0 #4 June 26, 2001 He'll start the training if he doesn't get laid off in the next month and have to go back to China. That would really suck if it happens, but it looks like it might. The Dutchboyhttp://www.geocities.com/ppolstra
Brokeneagle 0 #5 June 26, 2001 Encourage him to begin before then, Dutch- at least then we'd have someone to show us where to tiusan next time we go to China..... I think the Chinese'd be extremely amused at guailo skydivers...It's only the giving that makes you what you are... In the end, only kindness matters....
