Brokeneagle 0 #26 July 17, 2001 I may be able to take off Friday to get to Thomaston and learn this Spectre toy before Chicago and Quincy-- Mouth, you still going to be there? Dutch, are you sure you can't make it? Tony, I would be honored to meet your wife ... and I'd GLADLY pay you for any shots you could get of me-- I have none of myself in freefall or under canopy up high... perhaps you'd allow me to treat for lunch or dinner, as well Brokeneagle. It's only the giving that makes you what you are... In the end, only kindness matters....
Dutchboy 0 #27 July 17, 2001 I'm not 100% sure I can't make it, but don't think it likely. It's a very busy time for me at work (when isn't it?) and Saturday is my anniversary so I'm already pushing it to go skydiving then. We'll see, the wife is too busy with school to do anything on Saturday anyway, I may be able to postpone the anniversary stuff. The Dutchboyhttp://www.geocities.com/ppolstra
SkymonkeyONE 4 #28 July 17, 2001 QuoteI have FF pants already as the Dutchboy said, that is not the hot ticket for sit-flying; they assist you in staying head-down, but hose you for sitting unless you have an equally baggy top. Yep, the hot ticket for sitting, especially now in the Summer, is to wear shorts and a baggy sweatshirt or long-sleeve t-shirt. That, or borrow a sit or skysurf suit. When I DO sit, I generally wear my skysurf suit. I am small, so I don't go TOO much faster than my FF buddies. The wings are smaller on a skysurf suit than a sit suit in case you were wondering. I generally regulate my speed by transitioning to a knee-fly if I am going too fast. Chuck
Dutchboy 0 #29 July 17, 2001 I tried out my new skysurf suit by doing a sit in it a few weeks ago. The guy who was chasing me head down had a hard time keeping up. I was going over 200mph.The Dutchboyhttp://www.geocities.com/ppolstra
mouth 0 #30 July 17, 2001 Thanks for the advice. I'm not going to buy a new suit just for this weekend (not that I would get it in time anyway) so I guess I can handle the shorts and baggy top thing. At least I won't be late for loading the plane since all I would need is a shirt and my gear! I can't wait till Friday!!!
