mountainman 0 #1 July 22, 2001 Hey all!I wanted your input on good freefly coaching schools in the US. My wife and I want to go to one in the spring next year and don't really know of where to go.If you can all give me an idea (and a URL for it, if possible), that would be awesome! Thanks!!!Something completely new...
Vlad 0 #2 July 22, 2001 Perris with Flyboyz should be a good one. I'm planning on going to them eventually. Olav Zipser has a school somewhere in the East, too

Dutchboy 0 #5 July 23, 2001 If you want some free/cheap coaching you might come see the folks at Atlanta Freeflight some time. I know Jon Pinyon (or was it pinhead?) has over 3000 hours of tunnel time and now flies on Team Wicked Liquid, and he and the rest of the team do coaching. There are also loads of freefliers to give you tips. Being as how the DZ was bought by some freefliers the emphasis on this discipline is stronger than ever. The Dutchboyhttp://www.geocities.com/ppolstra

Do they allow skyball jumps up there? I'd like to do some coaching and then skyball jumps - but there are only a couple places in the country that allow 'em..Mike

VivaHeadDown 0 #9 July 23, 2001 Florida is a great place to start. More DZ's per square inch than anywhere in the U.S. Perhaps start with Z-Hills, work your way over to Deland and the Relative Works School of Freeflight (my favorite!), stop by Space Center, some Sabastian, then down to Olav's place, and end up in the Keys. A lot of driving, but think about the well rounded education you'd get out there! So many award winning styles just waiting to mold you. Every spring break there was always a group or two that would do it and I can't stress how much fun it was just listening to the stories and watching the videos. Makes me wish I had had the money to try it one year. Oh well, I'll get a job out here and head back there for a reunion trip some year maybe.Blue SkiesVHD
