sangiro 26 #1 July 25, 2001 So, a while ago I asked about vacation ideas for August. Quincy was obviously a huge consideration but in the end I decided to do a "Fire and Ice" trip. I'm packing my backpack, grabbing a tent and a sleeping bed and heading to Alaska for a week to go kayak between some ice-bergs and hike a few glaciers.From there, off to Hawaii for another week just to get some heat back into my bones, climb a volcano or two, scuba and laze in the sun.Back to San Francisco for two weeks and then head out to London.Expect some cool pictures..... enjoy Quincy, my turn will come. Zennie 0 #3 July 25, 2001 Dude, if you've never been to Hawaii, spend 2 days on Oahu and then head straight to Maui (or the Big Island, or Kawai, or Lanai). The snorkeling off our beachfront was out of this world. The scuba diving was good, but not as good as Grand Cayman (duh).Make sure you do one of the Atalntis submarine rides while you're there.
