skymedic 0 #3 August 7, 2001 Nelson be happy you can do it in 5-6 months....many people in this sport who pound in dont ever get to do it again. due to death, or permanent disability. and unfortunatley I have cared for both types...bloo onesMarcHere I come to save the day!!!!!!!!!!! freeflir29 0 #4 August 7, 2001 I know exactly how it is. I was off for about 6 months not long ago after I got out of the military. It was terrible. The only thing that made it bearable was it was over the winter. I didnt have to look at sunny, warm, beautiful skies. I was quite suprised when I exited and it felt so natural to be in free fall again. I do love it. Just a little scary since I had a new rig that I had never jumped before. It was the smallest size parachute I had ever jumped, I was rusty, and new to the DZ. Whew....I lived and even stood up the landing. I suprise myself sometimes...LOL"Blow me where the Pampers is" -Name that movieClay

jtval 0 #7 August 7, 2001 4-5 months, 17 days, one week?! imagine how youd feel if you knew you weren't going to jump for a year. iv eonly got 2 weekend left before the military takes me to a place that i'll grow roots.clay--i was kinda in the same situation as you, too. i broke my collarbone, playing frisbee(everyone rememebers me complianing about not jumping)by the time i healed my home dz closed, i bought my 1st rig. 1st jump at the new dz. ist time on BOC, ist jump in 9 months... so i decided to go through skydive u for my re-intro to the sport. ahhh, that was a relief.look out, I'm coming through!!!
