Zennie 0 #79 August 10, 2001 bbbilly - Of course the choice is always yours to make. It's your rear in the harness. 1.45 seems pretty high for you experience level, but if you can manage it, hey, who am I to say? The main question I have for you is how good would you feel having to land it off-DZ in a tight area in poor (or no) wind conditions? It's one thing to land a canopy in optimal conditions, but after a bad spot? How good would you feel having to do a quick, but smooth, braked turn down low to avoid a flier who cut you off (as I did last weekend)? I'm loaded about 1.2, which is just fine for me. Don't really want to go much higher because I'm just now getting fairly familiar with my canopy's flight characteristics. I like the way it flies and know how it's going to act in most any situation. In this sport, predictability is good. That's really what's important.------------Blue Skies!Zennie

bbbilly14 0 #81 August 15, 2001 Zennie,I appreciate your response. I just want to say that I have had piss-poor spots, and I have had to deal with bad wind (nil and high) situations. I have also had to land off the DZ. I am, I guess, just trying to see where other jumpers feel comfortable with their gear. I am not really sure I feel comfortable with my canopy, but I'm not feeling scared about it. It has helped me through many difficult times.Blue Skies, and Be Safe!Billy
