Hornet canopies.....

Recommended Posts

Hey all!!
I didn't get much help in the GEAR section on this part of my question, so I thought that I would bring it out here to the masses.
I am looking for some place besides the "gear" section of dz.com to get info on the PISA Hornet canopies.
The URL doensn't work to their site, so I am wondering if it is different. Also, what do you think of your Hornet canopy to those who own one.
Thank y'all!!

Hey MM-
Well. I've only had my Hornet190 for a few weeks, but so far I don't have any complaints. Every opening I've had has been smooth so far, which I was very relieved because I was worried it was going to slap me around like a Sabre. I've had a few problems adjusting to the flair on the landings, but don't take much stock in that because I'm not very good at landings-LOL! Actually, I think the main difference in the landings is because I was renting a Sprectre190 before I got my Hornet. Last week, I had a great one which actually swooped across the ground a little.
As far as packing goes, people keep telling me that the Hornet's zero-p fabric is a little different and less slippery for a new canopy. I can't tell because I didn't pack before, but the people who have been helping me are saying that. I LOVE the color-coded line stows. They really help a new packer like myself feel a little more comfortable in my packing abilities because I just keep the color groups together, and it works!
Avitarr also has one and has been jumping it awhile...why don't you send him a note and ask him in case he misses the thread.
Hope I've helped. Let me know if you have any specific questions.
Andrea
