Zennie 0 #1 August 19, 2001 Yep that's right. Beer Karma.Every time I come to the DZ bearing beer I go home with some sort of award. Today I come in with a 12 of Heiney and a 12 of Corona and leave with an Eagle/Double Eagle (twice) and an almost hoop SCR. Do a little head down to start the day as I usually do (get some blood in me noggin). Then my RW friends show up so I put on my RW hat. Our first 8 way turns 8 points (this despite a botched exit). YEAH! Next jump is a 6 point 12-way that was just flawless. Double YEAH!Then we do a hoop dive. We all get through (though the guy in front of me lost both his shoes on the hoop ) and build a 9-way on the other side. This would be a hoop SCR except the hoop we were using is a half-size too big.The best part was I flew my slot & didn't go low! This day made all that work and frustration worth it. I love days like this. Guess it pays to appease the Beer Godz! Hope y'all had equally fun days.BTW. Ran into slappie out at S-land. Nice meeting you dude! If Chris is giving you kudos then that means something because he won't hesitate to tell you if something went wrong. He's a great and very meticulous instructor. Good job!As far as the hoop dive goes, yeah it went great. That was just a really good day for me. Three 8 or bigger ways that all went pretty much without a hitch. Even if you don't mess up, you get to 8-way or bigger turning points and the chances that someone will brainlock are pretty substantial. So everyone was happy with how well they went.I know you wanna freefly, but after you get off student status we'll hook you up with Scotty to get you your SCR. You have to experience big way at least once. FYI.
