CASA boogie at Monroe

Ya dont need no stinking tailgate to do a raftdive......
I want to pull one out of an Otter the next weekend I get to jump an Otter. I've got video of the guys at Thompson Ga Pulling one out of the Alaska Twin Otter so I know it can be done.
Do I HAVE to do another raft dive??? :)

Hey Phreezone....I want to make it out there to Xenia probably the weekend after the Richmond boogie. I need to get all my coach dives done and get my A. After that, noone has to worry about me killing myself. Or, if we can find a Wednesday off, can you make it out to Blu Flu??
I want to do some raft dives, but I'll be pretty busy jumping next weekend and then the boogie is the following weekend. And, I can't pass up Mullins, DC-3's, choppers, etc....:)However, we need to make a Wednesday and go jumping!!

I don't know if either one of 'em is going.. Marc said he wanted to a couple weeks ago, but hasn't responded to the email I sent him last night.. He's probably working, so may take a day or two to get back to me.. I just found out yesterday that I got the couple days off I needed for that weekend, so I'm DEFINITELY going! I'll see if Andrea is interested, but I doubt she can pull herself away from the family for that long.. I'll let ya know as soon as I find out.. Hey, I'll have my new canopy by that weekend......is there a swoop pond at Monroe? :)Mike

Well, you don't DEFINITELY need a tailgate for it.....but it sure helps.. Launching a raft out of a side door is a pain in the ass, but it helps if you have a very cooperative pilot.. You seriously planning on doing a raft dive then? Have you checked with the DZO to see what he thinks? Some will not allow it.. If you wanna do it, I'm definitely in!

Hey mike....not sure what Monroe is, but at Richmond there is no swoop pond. However, this is the 2nd boogie of the year, they may have something there that I dont know about. See how many people you can con into coming up there. Also, let me know where you'll coming in (when you find out) and I'll be sure to pick you up (or find someone to do so) and take you back when needed. Remember, Dayton, OH is easiest, but there is always Indy.
Sure hope that you can all find time to check it out!! Can't wait to jump with you there. Maybe we can see how many dz.comers we can get in a formation. Hahah......we'll see if I can even get to a formation.
BTW, I'll be there (hopefully) Wednesday, but for sure on Thursday. Then we may be leaving Saturday night, but I'm going to talk Laura into making it Sunday night. She is a church girl, but I want to jump!!
Can't wait to jump with y'all!!!

Hey there!
No, Lisa I can't go.:( That weekend my best friend is coming to visit here from AL. I think she's going to do her first tandem. Our deal is, if she does, then I have to go get a belly ring!
Keep me posted on other happenings though. I'm sure Mike and Marc could keep me entertained on a road trip! :)Andrea

I still want to go to Richmond, but I won't know for sure until just before the first weekend.. I am expecting a new canopy next week, so I've gotta see what happens there, too.. Once I get it, I need to make a couple jumps at my home DZ on it(where I'm familiar with all the terrain and used to the conditions), then I'll be starting my travels for the next few months.. I want to visit all the boogies I can in the next few months before the weather goes to hell all over the country - then I'll just stay home and jump here all winter.. God I love Florida! :)Mike

Sorry I can't get away that weekend. I have a bunch of soon to be ex-whuffo's going to jump that weekend. They are tired of me talking about it all the time and not understanding, so they are going to try it.

Oh all right, all right!! Twist my arm why don't you guys? I'll see what kind of airfare I can round up.
To any who are still wondering, there ain't no swoop pond at good 'ol Monroe. Still a kick-ass dz though. The DZO's name is Bill, and I have a hard time seeing him not allowing a raft dive. He's been in this sport for ever so I am sure he's seen it all! Dutch, bring that raft on! I want to be in on this deal, ok? But we don't want to do a raft dive on a high speed pass, good lord that exit would be fucked from the word go! High speed passes from a CASA are something I have wanted to do since last May! I keep missing out for one reason or another! Good grief! Even at freakin' Quincy I missed out on them. Not again, matey!!
Sis (where am I staying this time? Are guys sure Bill will let me back on the dz? HEHE!! Maybe since I changed my hair he won't recognize me...YEAH RIGHT!)

Yeah...nothing worse than someone that Pykes on you. Or you get Pyked out in the middle of nowhere or you Pyke on an AFF jump or get Pyked out of that promotion at work or......
P.S. Sis...I'll have room in my tent. I usually get too drunk and dont make it back anyway. The spots are just too long when I'm drinkin.
